hay khael you know how i said that i imagine you wearing a superman suit...Backwards
here is the reson |
Hehe, cape. I like doing these response doodles, they're good practice for creating something quickly. Ever since that chat with drawings thread got closed I've kind of missed it. Woo, I finally decided to draw myself looking a little more recent.
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...s/Khael-el.jpg Ohh. That really does sound like something I'd do. In reality though, my cloak is blue and fleecy! It used to be for some non-super costume, but it has since become a sort of housecoat/blanket that stays on. |
The drawing was done with 100% pencil. I guess it's due to the size of the picture that makes it look like it was done with charcoal. Had to use rather thick lines at times in order to be able to see different hair lines.
Khael!: I really like how those pants and the shirt turned out. Although the right hand came out rather odd. Also, I think the head is sticking out too far from the neck. Could be just me, though. Other than that, I like it. |
Whoopsies, my hand's on backwards again. :gonk: You'd think that would make it hard to draw. I didn't spend very long on that picture (hence "doodle"). Some of that neck really should be part of my chest, yeah... Oh well I'm so scrawny it's not too far from the truth anyway.

"EskEmo"
This is a picture I did awhile back. I actually first drew this during class. The idea came from something random a friend told me and after much thought, I eventually drew it on paper.
Something's were a bit off, but I guess it's what happens when it's a quick sketch. |
Hey, it's got a bit of that caricature feel to it. Which is really fitting considering the awesome pun. I now have more reason to laugh at emos than ever before!

guys, i need your opinion should i start doing a webcomic on Deviant art
or not at all here is what the art would look like though this was done in 20 min plus 5 to 6 min for the coloring ye or ne |
It could work. Maybe just refine the lineart a bit, but otherwise I could see a decent comic coming out. Nicely done.
I really like that hat, too. It's almost... alive. |
Yes, I'd have to agree. I can't really make out certain things on the body of the person sitting on the giant weight. Also, the weight itself just looks like one big grey blob.
But if you fix that (which should no problem at all), I can totally see a comic based on this picture. |
Pretty good for twenty minutes. I find quality and time are almost directly proportionate, so I'd say... another ten-fifteen minutes should clean it up rather nicely without making it too detailed to want to do every day or however often.
Hmm, did you use photoshop or GIMP? If so I would recomend doing the colour on a separate layer, and setting that layer to "multiply" instead of "normal". (those options are in a little drop-down thingy right in the "layers" panel) That way the colour will go on like it's see-through and won't opaquely cover over the line drawings beneath. Flatten the picture when done and it'll be great. |
