Well, due to the "bishonen" nature of the character itself, I think that it qualifies for more feminine-like qualities. But that's just me...

Or maybe the "lengthy" body makes the curve stick out. Also, the possibility of the pants being loose and poofy could have something to do with it.

Its simple physical aspects, a man isn't curvy. Bishi isn't a dude, its an effeminated character that is engineered to seem less imposing to women. A man is blocky and bulky.

You're right, but I never saw anything wrong with the woman-like ass due to her "cute girly" style of drawing men (which she previously stated). At this point, it just depends on the views of the one looking at the drawing itself. I, for one, tend to be more lenient on such things...

Yes, monocle on top of glasses. Although the more I look at this picture, the more some of the shading bothers me.

Well, it looks less curvy as of last night, when I fixed the bottom half slightly, so hopefully it's now a moot point.

Yay monocle. What part bothers you? The lightness around the cord particularly is a little odd, but it also looks like he's in a fog. I especially like the tophat.

I like to think the monocle has magical properties...

The background particularly bothers me. I feel that certain parts (the left side of the hat) have unecessary shading or goes a bit too dark. Also, I think I used too bold of brush strokes (again, at the left side of the hat). I dunno, just seems a tad too spontaneous and random, and I think it could've been done better.

Not much in the way of super progress, mostly tweaking the line art to where it pleases me.

The lineart could perhaps use some work, yeah. But excellent colouring job! Really, it looks so metallic and real! And the skin looks skin-like, not metallic. :p

More self-portraits yay! This one was inspired by the Ikaruga pic of Shinra's head next to the game logo. I really like the style it was done in (as well as being rather obsessed with Ikaruga at present) so I thought I'd give it a shot and see what happened. And this did! So yes.
