There's not really much to it really. I use the brush tool in photoshop with the width set to one pixel, and being tracing. I usually end up working at about 400-800% zoom for the sake of precision.

For the hair, I just trace over the strands on the outer parts of the hair and then fill it with a thick brush for the big empty parts. Then, I get smaller, purposefully not coloring some parts and leaving it white for highlights.

Heheh... Actually, when I posted the picture up, I didn't notice the lips. After looking at it, I was all "Oh snap! I forgot the shade the lips!!" but was too lazy to go back and fix it. So it stayed.

Hmm.. A cape? I always thought they were exaggerated sleeves. Like, they were made really long and big which is why there's no indication of arms and hands. Similar to the sleeves Flying Snow had in the movie Hero.

Hehe Ah that's a perfectly reasonable explanation. =D I hate it when I forget to color stuff.

Ah yeah, I thought that at first too, but it looks like it's going behind her, like a cape, so it confuses me. :sweatdrop

He has an eye patch, a ninja mask, a viking helmet with a jolly roger on it, puffy pirate sleeves, an ammo belt, an RPG on his back, Bear Lancer armor, chainmail, and a cutlass at his waist.

He is wielding a BearSaw Sword. It is a Bear and a chainsaw attached to a sword.

This one just came out of a conversation after I showed my friend the above picture, where a Bear would be disguised as a cat poorly, just by adding a little cat snout and taping on whiskers. The Bear would thusly be named Mr. Whiskers.

This is much closer to H.U.N.K.'s original design.

In RE4, if your enemy is, say, on his knees because you shot him, text might come up on the screen saying "X Kick" So, you press X to kick them. I love the system. So, I thought, The Crotch Kick.

His actual reaction commands are awesome, though. An instant kill Neckbreaker and a kick that is pretty much a football punt.

Anywho, figured I'd drop by and say no I haven't fallen off the face of the internet. Got my new computer built and have been catching up on lost gaming time. Photoshop will be installed shortly, likely later today after I wake up after my 48 hour gaming binge, and scrape out a bit more coloring and finishing touches on the ol' jolly orc.

If you're implying that these characters aren't my own then dur, they aren't, that's why fanart is called fanart. However, if you're implying that I took these from a magazine or comic and scanned them, claiming them to be my own, then no, you're wrong, I drew those myself. Clearly I don't claim them as my own characters, that's just stupid, but the art is mine. As proof, here:
