Gargoyles

Was anyone else ever into the Gargoyles series several years ago? I always liked it as a kid and haven't watched an episode in ages.

Isn't it still shown on Toon Disney Sometimes?

Lucerin Red 02-09-2005 09:55 AM

yeah it is, and I have every episode, both the original series that ran on fox, and the parallel series that ran on abc, God bless pirates

Ya, I remember it very well. Mostly because of the movie, which I liked a lot. (used to watch it all the time ^_^;; )

Never saw much of the series though, maybe like one or two episodes.

Gargoyles was good for a long time.

But, after they got to the Goliath Chronicles or whatever they were called, the animation went down in quality...as did the plots.

I remember Gargoyles. It was a pretty sweet show at the time, but I stopped watching when it became 'The Golaith Chronicles' because somehow, even in my puny child's mind, I knew they would ruin it.

yea i used to watch it sometimes, when i had the chance. we didn't have cable so i've only seen maybe 3 whole episodes. i liked it though ^_^

They brought in characters from A Midsummer Night's Dream. And William Riker was the villain.

Truly an awesome series.

They did a heavy dose of Shakespeare, didn't they?

Heck, one of the major villians was MacBeth. His story didn't really follow the play, but it still worked.
