What's your favorite Mario Character?
 

This may have been done to death everywhere, but I'm just curious on everyone's opinion. I like Bowser, 'cause he's just a big sensitive guy trapped in a huge, angry, aggressive, turtle. If you ever played Paper Mario (1) you know what I'm talking about.

Yoshi, because he could never actually DIE in any of the Mario games I remember. He's an invincible, loveable dinosaur that gives you a ride everywhere if you feed him enough eggs or monsters. :) I also liked yoshi in the original and 64 versions of Mario Kart, so I'm biased that way too.

Wario, who else is there that's fat, angery and capable of knocking people around left and right with his butt and gut??

Bowser. Not from 64 or any other mainstream game, but from SMRPG. He was an awesome character.

Hmm....I really don't know. When I was a kid, I would have said Luigi, cuz I just liked using him in 2 and cuz I had a child-like preference of him over his famous brother. But since Luigi is quite...different (some say gay) in the later games and stuff....and I DO say he's gay in Smash Bros (damn little...), I gotta say...

Probably Yoshi. Cuz dispite all he does in tons of games, he's still just a fun, stomping Dinosaur who has to do so much to back up Mario. He's kinda like the equivilant of Tails in Sonic. The more diversified and 'cute' character who isn't the star.

Da' man himself. Mario is labeled to be the balance character (any game of his), and his attitude, "the strong silent type", just works wonders for me. Also, he helps the ones in need without motive. I kinda like beening servicial too. Besides, I've grown too close to that character (Super Show of Super Mario anyone?).

Yoshi. While he's not paticularly amazing the SSB games, he was a fun thing to have in the SNES versions.

Now that I think about it, do the other types yoshis have names?

Yoshi KILLS in Smash Bros if you know how to use him right. He's like the Valdo/Brad Wong/Faust/etc. character of Smash Bros. The character you can choose to mess with people who are always picking Marth or Link or Samus because his moves are so much different and seemingly onorthodox to those who haven't tried using him. In short, I play in Smash Bros contests and although 95% of everyone picks Marth, Link, Roy or Captain Falcon, occasionally a random Yoshi player comes and totally starts kicking ass cuz we're not perticularly ready for Yoshi.

But uh, as for the Yoshi names thing...I don't think they have names. I believe the different Yoshis are just called 'Red Yoshi', 'Blue Yoshi', 'Yellow Yoshi', etc. And the regular guy we all know to be Yoshi, the green one, seems to be the only green one out of all the Yoshi characters. Kinda like how Kupo is a Moogle but he looks a little different from most Moogle and he's the only one without a M in his name (aside from Moogles of Invalice).

I like Peach(or princess Toadstool) and Luigi. ^^ This may be mostly from the mario comic (not any fan comic, but the actually nintendo mario comic that came in the nintendo powers a long time ago), but I loved them. Peach (depending on the game) doesn't always just sit around and do nothing) When Bowser turns her town to stone, she's pissed, and she just jumps out of her tower to race after him.

Game wise, Peach and Luigi have always been my top choices. Bowser comes in after Peach and Luigi though. I liked it in Paper Mario when you got to play as Peach and helped her escape Bowser. Luigi has always been my Mario Party character, and you just have to love Bowser, especially in Super Mario RPG.
