The Rules, if you're new, you should read 'em:
http://www.nuklearforums.com/showthread.php?t=38

Video Games forum, where this thread should've gone:
http://www.nuklearforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5

Introduction thread, introduce yourself! Cause I said so...
http://www.nuklearforums.com/showthread.php?t=16

That said, welcome! No harm done, as you are new.

Oh, and Incubus does rock, I'm listening to them right now. ;)

EDIT:
And don't double post, fighter rox. Go read the rules linked to above, and you'll see it violates them.

Moved; welcome to the forums. Please read the rules, as MasterOfMagic wisely suggested. I'd also like to reiterate the rule about double posting; rather than double post, please edit your messages. It keeps everything much cleaner and nicer and more beautiful and pleasant and full of sunshine for us to look at.

I've played with the DS before, and I gotta say even though it is a sweet little piece o' hardware, it didn't quite live up to the hype. That said, it has great potential as a system, the right games just aren't out right now to show off that potential.

Now, I can't pass judgemement on the PSP, seeing that I haven't played it before, but I can say this: it looks awesome. That's about it...

Go for the DS. You can ALMOST never fail with a Nintendo handheld.

And welcome to the forums. But be sure to read the rules. Moderators hate ignorant people.

I'd say DS, cheaper system, cheaper games, more room for expansion as a system, overall quality of gameplay = better, much more backing from third parties as far as them thinking it's a great idea, less hardware failure so far. the ability to host games and have others share off that game without having a copy, picto chat

As a self-proclaimed Sony whore, I'm gonna say PSP.

Give it a bit of time. It'll drop in price, several bugs will get worked out (the bad Square button, for example), cheat systems will be available for it, etc.

Honestly, neither one of them look very good. The DS doesn't seem to have a very good lineup of games (especially right now) and the touch screen, while it has its uses, seems to be more of a gimmic than anything. The PSP is not only going to be quite expensive, but its design is poor (unprotected screen = massive fingerprints; the busted square button which, for some reason, they won't really admit it to being a huge deal; battery life... etc).

However, the DS seems to be the better choice - maybe when they release some better games I'd get one. In any case, for now, I'll just stick with the stuff I already have.

Of course, nobody seems to care about the N-Gage QD... Poor, poor N-gage...
