I was reading the rape thread posted by Packman and the issue of age came up somewhere in the thread. Someone said that a good portion of users were 14 - 17 years old. My question is this: How old is everyone here?

not to be mean or anything, but do you really think that there will be people ages 40+? besides when people who're 30+ get older.

I thought there was another thread related to ages and such made by Mashie not too long ago...but I'll put in my vote.

Sorry, but I'm relatively new here and I don't go looking through the older threads. And as for birthdays in profiles......I'm too lazy to go sifting through everyone's profile. I just wanted a feel for how old everyone is. I guess that was asking too much.

Hmm, I would assume that anyone who could join would automatically be 13 or older. The age ranges should also be closer, so that we could see a more detailed representation of age differences. However, I put in my vote...

Yeah, Mashie made a thread about this trying to figure out what their advertising demographic should be. We weren't ever told about the results though. And no, its not asking too much to see how old people are. Unless you want to sift though 3000 members subtracting years to figure out how old they are. I'm 17, nearly 18 though.

Speaking of which, I just tried to register with an age under 13. What is the age limit? Should have thought of this earlier.....now I look like an idiot.

Well, as far as I can tell, because of some laws that were imposed, anyone under thirteen cannot be forced to give any information online at all. Most sites therefore require people to be 13 or older, because some info is automatically needed. Instead of dealing with the hassle, the admins just make it a requirement.

Of course, it's up to the admins, and I don't know how they run things here. So, you're under thirteen?

No, I just tried registering a couple of mintues ago with a age under 13 to test it.
