Red Mage Costume

Ok, so I want to go to a cosplay convention as RDM, but I can't seem to find a place with the hat, does anyone know where I could get a hat LIKE the RDM hat or get a pattern for a hat any help would be appriciated. :rmage: :rmage: :rmage:

Lots of costume stores would have a big poofy hat. Another option is to go to Sears or something, find a red hat, and stick a feather in it.

Or take a cowboy-hat, paint it red, and put a feather in it.

I believe Red Mage's hat is known as a 'fedora.' You could try getting one of those. For that there's eBay, your grandfather's closet, and perhaps any place you know of that would sell old-style clothing. For the red color, you're on your own. You could probably paint it or something.

EDIT: I looked up red fedoras on eBay. Oddly enough, it's the women's fedoras that most resemble Red Mage's. Hmm...

Are you REALLY that surprised?

No, not entirely.

That was the joke. I assume you were following up on that, but in case you weren't, that was the whole point.

For the record, fedoras qualify as "vintage clothing." So if you know any place that advertises as selling vintage clothing, steer their direction.

Only, not too hard. Pedestrians and building owners don't like that, see. It tends to cause damage and nobody wants that.

Yes, I was following up on the joke.
