Justice League Unlimited

Now this is what I like seeing, US animation with balls. We see some deep character development, though it is here and there do to the number of characters. Plus people die. They dont show it but its obvious that people are dying. Violance, sexuality, and although its always cut off even swearing. If they push it more we will be getting the kind of uncensored stuff they have in Japan

I dunno. I was never a big fan of comic books. All these random esoteric heroes that appeared for a few issues. Bleh. I mean, everyones heard of Batman, Wonder Woman, ecetera. Though I really haven't been watching it. I saw one episode that was pretty good. Was a cross over type thing with Batman Beyond, A future Static Shock. Even the other (white) green lantern made an appearance...

There were a couple white GLs from Earth. Hal Jordan was the original Earth GL. I try not to think about Guy Gardner. And Kyle Raynor, but his assistant has a gay crush on him so we'll probably never see him. And probably some others, I can't keep track of them all.

I'm just glad they had an episode with The Question. That guy's great.

Supergirl: You went through my trash?
the Question: Oh please, I go through everyone's trash.

Cybren 02-19-2005 10:39 PM

He was only there for about two seconds. The other superheroes seemed to not know who he was...

Yeah, The Question is freaking hilarious. They mentioned him in tonights episode.

Batman: "I have The Question looking into a connection between Luthor and them."
Everyone Else: *Groan...
Batman: "I know hes a little high strung..."

LMAO, Batman calling someone high strung. To me Batman has the best lines in the series.

The funniest thing so far is when Batman played Good cop, while Older Bruce played Bad cop. That was freaking hilarious.

Batman: *while holding the criminal over the building, "Talk or I drop you."
Old Bruce: "Oh please, I can't believe I was ever that naive. Let me show you how its done."

lol, too great.

Ugh. The only purpose JLU seems to have is to serve as a showcase for how much the DC universe sucks. It's as though it's going, "You thought Wonder Woman was stupid? You haven't seen anything yet." Justice League was bad, so bad it's almost impressive they managed to make it worse. Maybe if they removed, I dunno, every character but Batman... they would have Batman: the Animated Series, which was actually good. Batman remains the only good part of the show, but it's hard to appreciate his amazing one-liners when they're surrounded by an episode about Circe turning Wonder Woman into a fucking pig.

Teen Titans is infinitely better.

ouch, game, match.

I agree that Batman gets the best lines. That's cuz he's awesome like that. I would say the reasons he told Wonder Woman why they shouldn't date, but I wouldn't wanna ruin it cuz I would invariably make it sucky.

TheZeroMan 02-24-2005 01:41 PM

I haven't seen alot of the new JLU, but I enjoyed them so whatever. It seems to me that I enjoying identifying which heroes as meandering in the background the most. This show seems now just to be an excuse to focus on. And how is it not fun to bring out such cool obscure characters such as the Question?

The Teen Titans is fun excepting that that they took the balls away from the major storylines, its fairly predictable, and it turned Deathroke the terminator into a slightly more effective Shredder.

Cybren 02-26-2005 12:06 AM

Batman probably gets the best lines because JLU is a continuation of JL which was a continuation of the Superman and Batman animated series, in which Batman was the first.
Infact even Teen Titans draws from the batman animated series (now if only he'd show up)
