Loonatics (cont.)

Since the original thread (found here in General) was closed, with still more discussion potential there, I decided to start it back up again here, in the Animation forum (where it should be).

Quite. It fits perfectly, albeit (probably) unintentionally.

But, like someone else linked to, I find that this guy has the right idea.

So let me be the first to say to Warner Bros.: take Bugs and fuck him however many ways you want - make him anime, give him pants and a spongy complexion, pair him up with Snoop Dogg and produce a Broadway rap-musical...I just don't care.

Words of wisdom, if you ask me.

ahem.....

WHY?!! WHY MUST EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT MY CHILDHOOD BE TURNED TO CRAP?!! CAN NO MEMEORY GO UNTAINTED?!!

Alright I am better now. But seriously why are Hollywood execs making cookie cutter copies of every last thing that shows any glimmer of popularity. I mean hell thats why we have sucktacular new Scooby-Doo episodes.

Ripped from my own weblog:

"...next on the agenda: Charlie Brown goes anime and kicks mutant-demon-alien butt!

Followed by Nancy and Sluggo training their pet birdlizardogeckos to practice tai-kwan-fu-rate-chi in the Chut-mi-nao Dueling Masters' Ring of the Grand Cosmic Universe, and defeat the evil Horgolixors, who plan to conquer our galaxy after winning the High Tournament Championship Battle Duel! (trading card game available at your local comic shop)"

Congratulations Brian for putting so articulately into words what I have been unable to express without much spitting and primal screaming. Veritas did a good job as well. Bless you both with unending aesthetic competency.

Coming this summer...

Rescue Rangerz. Chip is the cool brother with the haunted past. Dale is a pervert and party animal. They vie for the attentions of teammate and sex-goddess Gadget. Also featuring Monterey Jack, a junkie who can't get enough of the "cheese", and Zipper, the token homosexual.

There. NOW no memory is untainted.

thecartpusher 02-21-2005 12:26 AM

Of course they're gonna have to dress the Tiny Toonz like Bratz and Phat Boyz...

*loads automatic shotgun*

These kind of shows usually only get one chance. ONE chance. In my opinion, they blew it when "Buzz" said "What's up Doc?"

Bastards.

They need to be lashed 10000 times with the film they recorded this crap on and then tossed into a bon fire made up entirely of the copies of the show. It would be a big fire too, I mean everyone knows that feces makes for a hot, but slow burning fire.

Plus, nobody says we can't add lighter fluid.

i just watched the preview for this crime against humanity. the whole time i kept saying "this is fake right? this is all a joke, its a parody of the whole super hero thing, right? they're not actualy serious, right?"
...
so the only course of action is to not watch it, and to not watch anything on the WB. if you have freinds who watch programs on the WB, tell them to stop. if you catch them watching something on the WB behind your back, punch them in the face.

Watch a few episodes. Decide if it's really all that bad. Either continue watching the show, continue watching the show out of spite, or just don't watch it.

Refusing to watch an entire network just because of one show doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I never really watched the original Loony Tunes, so my reaction towards these designs, as I clearly expressed here, is "Put it to an M rating, and I say yay."

Deathosaurus Wrecks 02-21-2005 11:53 AM

no, it makes perfect sense. these people certainly won't listen to reason, the only thing they understand is ratings. they've done wrong, and they should be punished.

But... The WB also has Smallville, which is beyond good. Just don't watch Kids WB.
