I'll tell you what the powers are after you pick one. Suffice it to say, it will start weak and get stronger.

Story: The nation of Aylana has stood as a shining beacon in the world for education and peace. Ruled by the Council of Nine. For two thousand years Aylana stood pristine like The white tower from which the nine ruled. Then came the dark time. Charos an acolyte to the nine decided he was stonger than any of them. He was right. In the two millenia the suceeding avatars had bacome decadent and weak. Using dark magics he corrupted his gifts of life to powers of death. He created an army of undeath and demons and destroyed the White tower and killed the Nine. His armies spread and drove the refugees toward the sea and the neighboring kingdom of Phoenera. Among the young refugees are the new avatars.

Name: Julius Soliel
Age: 19
Appearance: He has long dirty blond curly hair on his young head. Dirtier still by the dirt of the road and ashes of war. He is tall and willowy, muscular from years of running from the hunting Ghuls and armies of the undead. His skin is a golden tan and he bears a sun shaped birthmark on his back. He wears a simple white tunic, grey now with dirt, and trousers made from sail cloth.

Powers: The sun always shines on Julius during daylight, clouds will part so it shines on him constantly. When he is in a low light environment during the day His skin glows like a candle. While bathed in sunlight he has supernatural stamina (i.e. the ability to run all day without tiring.)
Equipment: His fathers Long bow , a poor quality Leather quiver, 6 black arrows, a rusty short sword he found on a corpse.
Bio: Julius was born into a woodland community. He always new he was special. Especially from how he could never evade the sun. When he was young he thought it made him special, now it makes him a target. When the Ghul scouts burned his families home to the ground it was Julius they were after. Julius picked up his father's bow and ran. It was all he could do. Eventually he was able to find arrows and quiver. His skill is mediocre at best. Until recently he has had no chance to really practice his aim. On the road, he came across the remains of a battlefield and ruins of a village. The undead had won slaughtering the human defenders. The dead humans were mangled and strewn about. Among the dismembered Julius found an old rusty short sword. This find saved his life when the dead began to rise. He fought his way through and made a run for it. When he made it to the Phoeneran border he was near death from exhaustion and starvation. The Phoenereans put him in to one of the many refugee camps and nursed him back to health.

Earth power - Your skin is like leather armor, If you touch a stone you can briefly sense the last thing to touch the rock.

Life - You can sense every living being around you, they feel like a familiar warmth, You also can sense the undead, which feel unnatural. You also can promote the healing of minor wounds and some diseases.

I'll take fire, this will turn into a bio once I think one up, and have more time, but for now I stake claim to a spot.

Name: Ayden Leonsbane
Age: 15

Appearance: 5' 8", ruffled brown hair, blue eyes. His clothing is whatever the cleanest stuff he can steal, which usually isn't too clean. He has a dull green/gray tunic and pants that have been with him since he can remember, and tries to keep them clean. Judging by how dirty they are, one could obviously tell Ayden doesn't do a good job.

Powers: Heightened sense of hearing, and increased acrobatic ability.
Equipment: Twin daggers, Shortbow, Quiver with plenty of arrows

Bio: Ayden's family was rather well-to-do, compared to other refugees. When he was young, maybe five or six, his family went on a journey. While on a mountainy path, their caravan was ambushed, and his parents gave him one command and he understood: "Run." Being a little kid, he was easily chased down, and right between the undead army and a large crevice. He kept running and, although he didn't know how, he managed to leap across, leaving the undead on the other side. He kept running until he was sure he was safe. Among other people, he found that he was special. He didn't know why, but he could hear slightly better, and jump slightly higher. Ayden was still an outcast, so he relied on his improved abilities for thievery, as well as avoiding the undead.

Extra: Ayden has had to fight a few undead, but for the most part he avoids them. His main fighting style is to use the shortbow to confuse the enemy with an arrow before he comes crashing down on them blades-first.

Name: Galvin FreeWind
Age: 17
Appearance: His shoulder length and out of control. His Eyes are a clear blue, He has the lightning symbol on his forehead (no NOT like harry potter!) He wears a grey tunic and grey pants that fluff out near the bottom almost like clouds. His body is Strong and lithe. It looks like its made for speed not strength.

Powers: When angered his skin becomes electric to touch.
Equipment: A Rapier he took from a dead soldier and a parrying knife
Bio: He was trained to be a sailor by his father, part of his training was learning the basics of how to use the style of sword he now carries. He became an expert at Navigating through storms as they always seemed to be drawn to him while he was out at sea. It was during one such venture out to sea, in his one man boat he had made, that his city was destroyed. When he came to land the next day the armies had already vanished and the bodies aparently vanished. He sailed on to the next city only to find the same thing. He has been sailing the coast salvaging food where he could hopping to find survivors. He eventually found the refugee camps after sailing for a month around the edge of the continent.

Galvin Has always been an easy going kind of guy, more interested in being freindly then mean. Though he's always been said to have an erratic sort of personality. Being happy one minute and sad the next.
