Okay, I heard a rumor that of you save while fighting THE END in MGS3, don't play for like a week, and load at that point again, he dies. Is this true? :fighter:

id guess not its probly justb to get you to wait a week to see it doesnt work.

No, it works. I have a friend who can prove it. Although a faster way would be to turn your PS2's internal clock up by a week.

Of course, you could always do it the old fashioned way and shoot him until he dies. I'll never see the point of a cheat that automatically kills a boss for you. Takes the fun out of the game.

Not to mention you don't get the mosin nagant or his camo (well, i'm just assuming that)

Forget about the camo, you miss the best boss fight ever!

There is another way to kill him, though. At one point you see him from across a bay being wheelchaired into a warehouse or something. You can "end" him right there with a well-placed sniper shot to the head.

I thought that was just in the movie sequence, I didn't think you actually saw the guy being moved afterwards, do you?

Any special message or effect when Snake dies? Or is it just the typical Time Paradox ending?

Also, are there any clues to those occasional Cambell special mission failures? You know, like when you kill Ocelot? For some reason, I imagine a special Quantum Leap like thing going on with the current Solid Snake trying to find out info on the Patriots via his father.

Also, can anyone recommend a good place to find MGS3 secrets? (FAQ) I have the Brady Games booklet, but it seems to be secret lite on the whole. Plus, it doesn't have the above The End secret.

- Also, does anyone know where I can find good pictures of the Metal Gears from Metal Gear 1 & Metal Gear 2? Preference on drawn images & the MSX sprites secondary. I don't care much for the NES sprites.

Hey, I just read in a FAQ, and apparently its The End who dies if you don't play for a week, and not Snake. Also, it explains why Medic warns me not to save, because if continue play less than a week away, you get a sequence where The End sneaks up & kills you.

Also, does anyone know if the Moss cameo has any special effect? All the other No Kill cameos do something special.
