A few questions. (Possible Spoilers)
I got this book at megacon on Saturday, and I just finished reading it. However there are a few things that seem as if they could have led somewhere, but didn't.
1) On the way to the beach for Nuke's party, Radar makes his first appearance. At the end of their encounter he attempts to crush Rachel's skull, but fails. I thought this may lead to Rachel having some kind of powers. However, it didn't. So my question is this: Why didn't she get hurt? 2) Katkat is very smart. Is he superpower smart, or just smart like every cat seems to be? To conclude: *Jarlax doubles over in renewed laughter over the fuckhole/fuckstick conversation.* |

2 'Whatever happened to...' questions. 1) What happened to Alex Halo? I kind of expected him to show up during the Superior(TM) Man conflict. 2) What happened to the Irish superhero? He went on a drinking spree with Angus, and awoke to find himself in a pretty bad scenerio. I doubt he would be killed off in this way. *Jarlax thinks... Maybe he didn't show up because he was pretty much the same as Angus, and thus he would have been usless. Plus Shino took his place later. |
1. Alex will be fleshed out more in Atomik Age.
2. Shamus, Angus, Shiro, and others are members of the International Dwarven Warrior Guild. There's one for every ethnic stereotype. Shamus just drops off the map when he last turns up. But I'm sure he got out of it just fine. |

Awesome book BTW, now just the impatient wait for Atomik Age. :D |
Maybe I'm an idiot for reading the book thrice and not knowing/remembering this, but...
Who is Alex Halo? Is he the D&D guy that saved atomik and Rachel at school? I'm so confused. |
Yup.

his super power is super craftyness, right? like he spots flaws and destroys them? like da' batman? cause heirophant sounds kind of egyptian, so i shall call him the egyptian batman if it is the case.

I believe that Alex told Sparky something along the lines that he could redirect almost any force used against him. 'Course, I could be mistaken. Someone with a better memory or less laziness than me can clear this up.

Answer to question one: no. Rachel simply uses the traffic laws to rob him of his power. He said it himself: the more severe the crime, the stronger he gets. Since Rachel was in the back seat, she was not guilty by association, as the traffic laws state. Since she was not violating traffic laws, Radar had no power over her.
Answer to question two: no. I think that Katkat, and all cats' intelligence for that matter, contrasts with the idiocy of their master. Therefore, since Nuklear man is so incredibly stupid, Katkat has achieved genius status. |
