Happy Birthday 8-Bit!

Tomorrow marks the fourth anniversary of the first 8-Bit Theater comic.

Here's to four more years! :fighter: :bmage: :thief: :rmage:

Actually, I started the comic in mid to late January of 2001. In the early days I didn't update regularly, though I did try to stick to 3-ish comics a week. Then there was the two comics a day era. This was all because I was in college at the time. When Pierre put together this new site design for me in October of '03, we had to identify each comic with a specific date. Rather than try to remember all the random days, I just started with the then most recent comic and worked backwards assuming a consistent Tues/Thurs/Sat update schedule for my entire history. It wasn't accurate, but it got the job done quickly. Since it only mattered that the comics would display in order in the archives, the specific dates were irrelevant.

But it's the thought that counts.

Huh. Didn't know all that. You learn something new every day, I guess.
What did the old site look like?

Crap.

I didn't know that either. I had another impression, like mammothtank did. But you can't really debate with the creator, now can you?

I'm surprised that article is so in-depth :D

Just so you're aware, if there are inconsistencies in the article, you can change it. Well, you probably know what a wiki is.

Chargos 03-01-2005 11:14 PM

Nostradamous used Wiki's to tell the future. It's a proven fact. How else could he have know about that stuff?
