(*Based off of Megaman/X/Zero games, since I have been playing the X series and Zero series to much lately)

The year is 32XX, humans are all but a legend. There only believed to have existed because something must have originally built the Reploids. Most Reploids are humanoid in appearance, so humans are guessed to have looked like them, but some of the Reploids are based off animals and plants. The known world is completely covered in ruined cities, plants having been completely wiped out, also being a thing of legend. Heroes like X, Zero, and Axl are long gone, having disappeared along with Sigma. However, the Mavericks always came back, being led by some other Virus infested Reploid.

The two sides are Mavericks and Resistance. The world is warn torn cities, mostly unpopulated. Most true Reploids are part of the Resistance, and live in the southern part of the east continent. This is the site of the only two remaining completely cities, which are extremely large and clean. Resistance bases are spread out underneath the ruined cities of the world. The current Maverick base is in the north mountains of the east continent, being led by a Maverick calling himself Z, who has never been seen by any Resistance member. The maverick forces are almost all robots, with very few Reploids in them. Any Reploid Maverick is always put in charge of something important, since it is better then a robot. For protection, very few Reploids in the Resistance are taught how to make Reploids, and those that are taught are the most important Reploids, besides the Resistance leader, and are almost impossible to infect with the Maverick Virus. But how to make Reploids a certain strength is unknown, since it is based off of the energy source, and it is only known how to be made, not how it works.

And lets ignore what Reploids need for a power source, and whatever it is it makes them work just like humans. (Rest, fully charged, get tired, rest, repeat) Also, bullets are all but useless, and everything is energy based (Melee or ranged), even though when needed, a pole of metal can be used as a weapon, but will be worthless compared to energy, but with enough force will damage things.

As for characters, the X or Zero series is basically what this is, but more war torn. And no character rip off from X or Zero. Meaning, no having a guy who gets a power every time he kills a Reploid, and no pretty boy with a sword, and a somewhat get power after kill thing. Characters can either be human based, or animal/plant based. No being human, obviously… Not sure if all should be Resistance members, or if some Resistance, some Maverick… If you want to be a Maverick, just say so, and if there are enough then you can stay a Maverick. Note that any Maverick will not know how to make Reploids, but basic repairs are known by everyone. And same for Resistance, except a person or two can have Reploid making knowledge, but then you’re a healer basically. Oh, and no Cyber Elves (I find the idea of getting cute little creatures, then killing them quite cruel)

Can characters be neutral, not maverick or resistance?

Yes... But then you'll either be left out a lot, or hope a couple more people join the nuetral side...

Name: Mephitis

Resistance

Appearance: An amazing array of degraded metal scraps an shredded synthetic materials in the shape of a skeleton, with a heavily armored chest area containing the decompostion reactor. Has glowing green eyes. 3 1/3 meters tall

Weapons: Decomposition beam (see below), beam kukri

Abilities: Decomposition reactor. If Mephitis swallows 5 kilograms of matter, he can shoot the decompostion ray at first level of strength through a specialized blaster on his left forearm. Each 5 kg more increases the level of strength up until 30 kg. In addition, "eating" 1 kg of matter allows Mephitis to charge whatever he's holding into an energy weapon for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes are up, the matter disintegrates. He must eat 5 kg per day or else he will start getting damaged due to the fact that the reactor will start eating him. Eating 30 kg allows him to regenerate himself. The beam kukri is a small curved energy dagger that's about 1 1/2 feet in length. Eating 2 kg allows him to power up his beam kukri for 2 hours so that it can cut through most materials. The reactor and his head the only heavily armored part on his body. The extremeties are fairly weak, but will still take a few standard blaster shots before they break off.

Background: A renegade scientist, working for neither the Mavericks or the Resistance, had convinced Mephitis to be a test subject for new parts the scientist was working on. One of these was the G-358 reactor. The scientist had planned it as an eternal energy source for reploids, but a flaw in the design caused the reactor to start breaking down matter for energy. The energy flux was enough to tear the chassis off of Mephitis and devestate the lab, destroying the scientist. Mephitis was overwhelmed by hunger brought on by the reactor inside him. Eating mutated his shape into it's current monstrous form He was out of control, but when he found out that most reploids thought that he was a berserk Maverick he stopped immediately. By his nature he loathed Mavericks and he learned enough self control to prevent him performing such travesties again. He joined the Rebellion to repent for his crimes and to help bring down the Mavericks.

Note: He cannot be infected with the virus because his altered brain (or whatever it is in reploids) is too different from normal reploids due to the strange energy constantly flowing through it.

Equipment: Decompisition Jets (1 kg per 1 hour, allow extremely high jumping, located on back), electromagnetic wall climb (allow climbing on any ferromagnetic material, 1 kg per 2 hours of usage)

So... For the knife, it's 1 kg per hour of charge?

Background: A huge brute, Gutx Man is the latest reincarnation of the Guts line of Mavericks, with each new iteration being more and more powerful. Gutx is also no slouch in the brains, not Einstein or Rain Man by any means, but no longer the mono-syllabic caverobot of yesteryear. He can also withstand some pretty heavy firepower, and is unrivaled in strength.

Since you *picked Gutsman brand, your not in charge of anything... Gutsman brand isn't smart enough to be in charge... Your another Mavericks lacky

The knife is charged 1 kg per hour, but only to a maximum of 6 hours, after which the kukri does damage to Mephitis. BTW, here's a pic of a kukri:

When he charges his blaster, the ## kg's go away with the shot right? So if he ate 30 kgs of metal, then shot a 30 kg blast, he would be left with 0 kg, and start eating himself

He only eats himself when he doesn't have 5 kg left by the end of the day. He can hurt himself with his blast if he doesn't have enough to shoot off his blast. Say he has no kg stored in the reactor, and he really needs to shoot something, he can eat 5 kg of his own mass to fire off the shot, leaving him weaker. If he is left with only a skeletal frame, his reactor melts down. When melted down, he can't do anything until someone fixes him and feeds him.

So, if he shoots a really powerful blast with 30 kg, and manages to get 5 kg by the end of the day, he doesn't eat himself, but if he has less than 5 by the end of the day, he damages and weakens himself.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, he has 600 kg of mass.
