As Gabriel was about to fly off using ArchAngel's wings, he hesitated. Both he and ArchAngel sensed something wrong back at the church. Not a direct threat. Yet. But it was too early to count out the assassin coming back.

"Wait here. I need to check on something."

Gabriel turned and flapped his wings. He went soaring towards the church door, and forcefully pushed it open when he got to it, not even bothering to land first. He wasn't going to put the wings away yet. If it was nothing, he'd be flying away anyway, and there's no chance in hell he was going to go through the pain of Wing Growth again so soon.

He landed on the main floor of the church. He then sensed something amiss. Dream wroughts. Carriers of dreams.

Bailey 03-21-2005 09:28 AM

((as good a chance as any to get together with people. Also, you never said where you were so I can only assume that you are elsewhere in the forest.))
As Andrew ran through the forest, he came upon a smal clearing, just large enough for the large bird in it to land. He looked at the other two figures here. A man and a woman.
"Have we stumbled into something we shouldn't have?"
ThunderPaw looked about.
((anything in '#' sounds like it's coming from a set of speakers.))
It doesn't smell like we did, but then that might be because my nose doesn't work as well anymore.
then, looking at the bird, ThunderPaw turned his head quizzically.
#Do we already know you?#

MNMinion 03-21-2005 10:42 AM

"I dont have a ride either, so may I ride the great fire bird also?" Josh asked, impressed by the wings on Gabriel's back and the large fire bird, he knew he could summon his giant wasp but it wasnt strong enough to go on large flights when carrying someone, and he didnt know these people well enough to show any powers that would give him away to enemys. "I belive I can be of some possible assistance".

Both Gabriel and Novaras have summons if its not obvious enough but the summons are speaking with eachother. And I also sense much pain.

Ok, I dont know if they are in league with eachother but we will have to find out, stay ready. It is probably what Gabriel is speaking of.

Kildare 03-21-2005 10:49 AM

OOC to Armored Bishoujo: Speaking of Summons, I might have a summon for you, if you'd be so kind to stop by the castle. XD

OOC to Rhiya: For the third time, PLEASE don't make it impossible for me to push you back. This battle belongs to the Terrans! And please don't kill Karan. XD

*****Sir Karan******

The castle shook under the massive weight of the explosion that rocked it's walls, cutting Sir Karan's rush towards the top, followed by several shouts and cries of alarm from the outside.

"What th-" Sir Karan exclaimed as he almost tripped and fell. Karan stumbled out into the courtyard to find a huge section of the wall crumbling to pieces. And like a tidal wave, a horde of Gaian troops rushed in, only to be met by the castle's defenders , the sound of steel against steel and cries of pain filling the air. However, what drew the attention of the veteren warrior was the sight of a giant snake rushing out from the ground. With a single swipe of it's tail, the snake easily sent a dozen elves flying. Up above, the great dragon Sir Karan had seen earlier rained death from the skies.

Sir Karan drew his sword and shouted a battlecry, and to his surprise, many cries followed that call. Sir Karan turned around to see lines of the Elite Guard pouring out from inside the castle to defend their home. Even the Pathfinders and the Dawnbringers came out from their seclusion to aid in the battle.

"For Gallean and for Kandaran!" Sir Karan turned around and roared at his enemies. And with renewed courage, the reinforcing warriors rushed in to join their comrades in battle.

*****Tarathiel*****

"What was that?" Tarathiel exclaimed out loud when the explosion broke the castle's defenses, just as the elf reached the door to his private chamber.

Your enemies have broken through. Quezacotl informed him in his mind. Come. We have to hurry. He bid Tarathiel to open the door. And opened, he did.

The first thing that caught Tarathiel's eyes was the orb that sat atop the table at end of the room. It was now blazing with shining light, and Tarathiel could feel the raw energy flowing out from within it, like as if something, was living in it. And something did.

Behold the Chimaera, Quezacolt's voice rang out in his mind. Rise, Guardian of the Forest. Rise and defend your homeland once more!

And suddenly, as if Quezacotl's call had triggered a spell reaction, the blazing light from the orb burst forth, blinding Tarathiel, and it shot upwards, breaking through the roof into the sky above. And from that light, a gigantic creature appeared - in the form of a three-headed winged beast possessing the features of an eagle, an ice drake and a snake.

Chimaera roared in absolute fury at the destruction wrought by the Gaians in his homeland. But what angered it more was the presence of it's archnemesis, Bahamut. With a great piercing scream, it charged towards the king of the dragons, and launched three simultaneous attacks from each head - a lightning bolt, an icebolt, and a ball of poisonous acid.

((OOC: Speaking of times to run across other characters....))

"Apparently it's 'Freak Day' in the forest, Little Brother." Darik whispered...once again hiding on the fringe of a clearing that had a monster in it.

Darik sensed Laccolith's feeling on his last comment, and smiled.

"If either of us is a freak, Little Brother, it's me. You're just tagging along."

Sensing Laccolith's enjoyment at that comment, Darik looked out into the clearing.

A man and a woman...wait a second! Isn't that the guy who was fighting at the other battle? Darik thought to himself. How in the heck did he get in front of me?

Laccolith "muttered" something.

"Yes...I suppose the giant bird could have something to do with it." Darik muttered.

For the meanwhile, Darik sat in the shadows of the forest, trying to stay out of sight, and rested after a long day of running.

((OOC: I don't know how good summons are at being able at sensing one another, but if someone wants to notice me, feel free to. Otherwise, I'll just stay there and catch my breath))

Astral Harmony 03-21-2005 11:44 AM

OOC to Kildare: "While getting an additional Summon would be pretty awesome, I don't think Angelith can simply escape from the bandit camp and arrive at a castle she has no clue how to get to on her own. And despite the fact that I know Angelith can get a new Summon there, Angelith doesn't know and has no motive to go to the castle as of yet. All in all, I don't think Angelith can pay the castle a visit for quite a number of posts."

Angelith sunk her voluptuous frame into the tub, hot water being pushed over the side. Cerberus, who protected Angelith from voyeuristic perverts in these instances, reached over with one of its heads and licked at the falling water. "Thirsty, Cerberus?" Angelith chuckled, and scooped up tub water into her hands to form a sort of water dish. Apparently the monster didn't mind drinking hot water, either. Angelith smiled while Cerberus licked her hands empty. Angelith wasn't smiling out of happiness, though. It was sort of forced.

"It's unavoidable, isn't it? Whatever you're sensing might actually come here, one day." Cerberus looked up, the central head staring into Angelith's eyes. "Don't worry. I'm not scared that it's going to happen. I'm just curious about what will happen? It sounds pretty bad the way you looked." Cerberus then leaned in and run its broad tongue up Angelith's cheek. "Stop, that tickles! I'm trying to get clean!" She laughed and lightly punched Cerberus on the nose. "Relax, okay? Whatever happens, I think we'll be all right."

Kildare 03-21-2005 11:58 AM

@ Armored Bishoujo: Oops, i gave the message to the wrong person. I meant Inbred Chocobo actually, since he's missing a summon.

@ Inbred Chocobo: Yeah, head over to the castle if you want the Chimaera summon. XD

Bosolai 03-21-2005 01:43 PM

*sigh* Do I have to take them? They'll slow me down.

Yes. We want to keep our cover, don't we?

Fine. But I'm not tuning down the heat for them. If it gets too hot for them to hold on, its their own fault.

Heh, fine by me. Make it an inferno for all I care, I'm immune.

"Sure thing. When Gabriel comes back, just climb up and hold on tight." Novaras almost laughed, but held his composure.

Rhiya Ravenwing 03-21-2005 06:34 PM

OOC: Jeeze, kildare, keep your cool. the term "Die! Bwahahaha!" does not mean I may be able to do it literally. Especially now the chimera has awoken.

***Catharsis***

She sighed and rolled her eyes, bored already with the man's stupidity and stubbornness in trying to get himself killed.
"You know, you should listen a bit more to your summons. THEY seem to have much more sense than you do."

"Why, thank you ma'--"
"Shutup!" Beowulf growled.

Catharsis sighed again, and offered a compromise.
"I will not keep you here, but you will ride with me on Darkwraiven. We will watch the battle until I deem it safe enough - or desperate enough - to join in. I will hold you against your will if you try to go in too early. I believe that your summons will not risk killing me if you are in danger of committing unwilling suicide. Now get on."

Again? *sigh* very well.

Inbred Chocobo 03-22-2005 01:30 PM

"Its better that we get moving now, the fighting isn't going to stop and if we wait for Gabriel, then we might miss it." Kelvin stood there for a minute. "I could swear I can sense something calling from that way. I also believe that is where the fighting is coming from too. Now lets go." With that, Kelvin walked up to the Pheonix. "It seems your summon isn't a fan of giving people rides. Facial expressions givek that away easily."

Raiden 03-22-2005 09:32 PM

(OOC: Screw it. Lumeas is taking too long. Let's go to war!)

Gabriel shook his head, and flew out of the church door. He sensed something inside the church, but he had no time for it. There was a battle to the west, and it required his attention. Besides, the church was home to one of the best Schools for Paladins in Terra. If anything went down, an invader would end up with several dozen Paladins to mess with. Although they weren't as powerful as Gabriel, and they certainly didn't have Soul Summon partners, they weren't warriors to think little of.

Gabriel approached the group.

"Let's move out. Those that are without a means of travel, take flight on Pheonix. Let's move."

Gabriel removed his shield from his back and unsheathed his sword, it's black blade shining in the morning sun.

"To battle!"

With that, Gabriel's four wings flapped greatly, and he pushed up into the air, soaring towards the western horizon.

Bosolai 03-22-2005 11:40 PM

"Well, there he is. Lets go!" Novaras said with enthusiasm.

When Kelvin and Josh got on Phoenix's back, they could feel the excessive warmth of his fires. Phoenix flapped its wings twice, then took off, speeding alongside but making sure not to pass Gabriel. It wasn't too long till they could see the lands and castle wrecked by the battle. Looks like we've found some other Gaians to team up with. Shall I burn the other passengers now?

They're armed. We don't want them taking you down while they roast. Lets land, then you can use a well-timed Rebirth Flame for the Gaians while I take care of that paladin.

Sounds good. We can catch them off guard. Wait for me to use my Rebirth Flame before you send a thunderbolt his way, I'd like to see the confusion on their faces when they see the Terran army decimated while the Gaian army is restored.

Novaras called out to Gabriel, "Where should we land?"

Kildare 03-23-2005 11:30 PM

OOC: Bosolai, I have to remind you to keep the power of the Rebirth Flame within limits. I suggest that the effect be limited to no more than ten men per cast? And do note that each time Pheonix casts the spell, it'll drain off his own energies greatly, making him vulnerable to attack. Also note that depending on the scope of spell, the revived characters will suffer a rebirth weakness(if the spell is cast on only a one or two characters, then they do not suffer the weakness side-effect).

MNMinion 03-24-2005 03:11 AM

Josh wasnt surprised by the heat on the bird, it was on fire, so it was going to heat up, but he was happy they were traveling now with the rush of air cooling them.

We are here

Josh looked down on the war below them and was instantly in pain, his eye overwhelming with so much pain that it glowed blood red and wasnt easily unnoticed by most people. His eye normally did this when seeing the fiends that were invading thier world, but this wasnt the pain he had grown used to, with so many everywhere the pain was almost unbearable. His hands glowed green and were ready to spew poison from above onto the creatures below.

"Whats are plan of action", he said to Gabriel.

Toastburner B 03-30-2005 02:15 PM

After Darik caught his breath, he stood.

"Probably wise to leave, Little Brother."

Again, Laccolith was not happy.

"The wise man avoids trouble...and those two are radiating it. It's time to go."

Darik stood, and began to walk away...only to come face to face with another man, with a...something that looked like a dog made out of energy, at his side.

Darik felt Laccolith tense.

No! Stay hidden, Little Brother. Don't come out unless I need you.

Darik sallowed, and looked at the man. "Greetings, stranger. You may want to avoid the clearing ahead...some interesting characters in there.

((OOC: There you go, Newb. Someone saw you.))

Bailey 03-30-2005 03:46 PM

((yay!))
"which interesting characters are they, and for which side do they fight?"
This man smells of summoning, watch out

Inbred Chocobo 03-30-2005 04:07 PM

Bahamut. Seeing that summon reminded Kelvin of something. Exactly what, he didn't know. All he knew was that the dragon must be brought down. "Guys, I'm getting off here." Luckily they were high up off the ground and above bahamut too, so he was in the perfect attack position. "May you guys survive the fight ahead." Kelvin says as he gets up and jumps of the phoenix. After free falling for a minute, he had positioned himself right above the dragon. He pulled out his sword and fell right on the back of the dragon, and he used his sword to catch himself from the fall by driving it into the things back. "I bet that pissed him off."

Bosolai 03-30-2005 05:20 PM

New plan. Fly us above Gabriel. Novaras thought to Phoenix. When we're up there, turn up the heat.

Why not just drop Josh here? Why let Gabriel save him? Phoenix asked, flying into position.

We aren't letting Gabriel save him, we're making Gabriel save him. Preoccupy flyboy while we help out that dragon. By now, Phoenix was above Gabriel, and was getting hotter. "Go limp, you'll be easier to catch." Novaras said to Josh before he cast the passenger off Pheonix with a blast of wind.

"Bring me as close as you can to Bahamut. Try to heal him if you can. If I fall off, be prepared to catch me." Novaras said. Pheonix flew just to the side of Bahamut, and Novaras blinked aboard, just in front of Kelvin. "Not so fast." Novaras said, preparing a Holy Fire spell.

MNMinion 03-30-2005 05:38 PM

Watch out.

"Huh?", Josh didnt realize he was falling till he noticed the ground getting closer, "Traitors...or evil summoners", he began muttering and a black ball grew next to him untill a large wasp came from it and cuaght him. "Take me down", as told the wasp, "And brace yourself", his eye glowed red and then a black and green concentrating a blast in his eye and let it loose, cuasing the wasp and himself to get push from the force of the blast. It was aimed right for Phoenix and traveld quickly.

"They evil shall fall", he said to himself and Anima as they decended.

OOC: I wont be around Thurs and Fri and posibbly the weekend.

Inbred Chocobo 03-30-2005 05:39 PM

"Should've known you would turn. Lying about that accent gave that away." Kelvin said as he pulled out his sword and prepared for the fight. "I'm feeling nice, why don't you make the first move." Kelvin said as he got into a defensive position.

Bosolai 03-30-2005 08:04 PM

The blast caught Pheonix off-guard. He cast a healing spell on Bahamut, and the wound was restoring, but now Phoenix was injured. "I'm hurt pretty bad. I'm going to extinguish and heal. When you resummon me next, I should fine." He said to Novaras just before he dissipated and the soot blew away in the wind.

Novaras looked back to Kelvin. "How kind of you. A foolish mistake nonetheless." Novaras shot a fireball, then backed up and took out his staff to parry. I'll need to summon you soon. When this dragon takes us high enough, I'm gonna charge at this fool. Take him off with me. You can probably figure out the rest.

Rhiya Ravenwing 03-31-2005 03:31 AM

OOC: the dragon you are talking about, Bahamut, please don't take it too far. Arhra is still in control of it.

Toastburner B 03-31-2005 02:49 PM

What sort of the question is that? Darik thought to himself. Has word of the battle already spread?

"Which side? Well, I don't know to tell the truth, but the man with the swords fought a summoner who was on the side attacking the elves. The woman rescued him, but they don't seem to know each other, from what I overheard."

Darik looks back towards the battle in the distance. "Best to get out of the forest, stranger. The elves are battling the invaders a few miles that way...bad business. With what was being thrown around over there, it's best to stay away from there."

Inbred Chocobo 03-31-2005 03:23 PM

As the fireball came in, Kelvin put his blade to it. The fireball hit, started to explode, then seemed to be sucked into the sword. The Kelvin swung the blade and the fireball shot back at Novaras. As he swung the sword, he says "I'm foolish? No I think your the fool."

Bosolai 03-31-2005 06:15 PM

Spinning the staff with his right hand, Novaras quickly knocked the blunt of the blade just out of the way of his head. "Think again! Ahahahaha!" With his left hand, Novaras had been conjuring a Divine Wind, and put it right to Kelvin's chest. "Try to absorb this!" The wind threw the two backwards, and Novaras slid off.

He couldn't see what happened to Kelvin; Novaras was focusing too much on summoning Phoenix while falling.

Bailey 03-31-2005 06:54 PM

Andrew nodded slightly
"So you are not with these 'invaders'?"

Inbred Chocobo 03-31-2005 07:53 PM

"Stupid wind." Kelvin said to himself as he fell. The wind had knocked both him and Novaras off Bahamut it seemed, though what to do about it he had no idea. He noticed a tower to his left, and realized that since Novaras blocked the attack, the fireball never left the sword. "Lets see if the kickback from this attack is strong." Kelvin said as he swung the sword, using the fireball from it to send him against the tower where he caught hold of some bricks jetting out. "Looks like this thing is about to collaspe. Now how to get down."

Toastburner B 04-01-2005 10:22 AM

"No, I'm not with the invaders, or whatever you want to call them."

I don't I like his tone, Little Brother. Something isn't right here.

Laccolith stirred under Dariks feet, a small vibration in the ground to let him know he was there.

Darik smiled. Hold on just a bit longer. Maybe I'm just being paranoid after seening the battle.

Raiden 04-01-2005 12:01 PM

(OOC: I'm back from Spring Break!)

Gabriel looked at the mayhem above him as the so-called "Holy Fighter" turned out to be an enemy. Gabriel watched as Kelvin fell and grabbed the tower. Gabriel soared down and plucked him from the tower, and set him gently upon the ground.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of the traitor."

Gabriel turned, and with a great flap, propelled himself upwards towards Novaras. His sword and shield were out, and his blade was raised for a slice.

"You work with these people that attack innocents! And you DARE to say that you are one of the Holy ones! Prepare to be purified!"

Bailey 04-01-2005 02:47 PM

"In that case I'll assume that those two are. ThunderPaw, zap him and then come with me."

Andrew moved quickly into the clearing and signalled towards the two people talking there while Thunderpaw seemed to dissolve into a bolt of electricity and leapt directly at Darik

Bosolai 04-01-2005 03:10 PM

Just as Phoenix caught Novaras, Gabriel shouted, "You work with these people that attack innocents! And you DARE to say that you are one of the Holy ones! Prepare to be purified!"

"Ha! Innocent! You use that term as if you know nothing!" Novaras replied, with electricity cackling in his hand.

I'm too weak to guide you through an aerial battle. Besides, we've found what we're looking for. I'm taking us to the Gaian camp. I can outrun this punk easy.

"I don't have time to slay you right now, Terran. If you survive the battle below, we can duel again sometime later." Novaras shouted as Phoenix carried him away. If he continues to chase us, just keep going. I'm charging a lightning blast in case he gets the crazy idea in his head to follow.

Put that away, he's a Terran, but he's not stupid. He won't follow us to the camp of his enemy.

I don't know, he seems to be pretty ignorant. I'll keep charging it just as another reason not to give chase.

Raiden 04-01-2005 05:38 PM

As Phoenix and Novaras flew off, Gabriel was prepared to give chase, until his partner stopped him.

"Gabriel! Stop! Look down to the ground."

Gabriel stopped in midair, and looked down at the battleground. He saw the battle between the soldiers, but he saw something else.

Women and children. Being attacked by the invaders.

"Those bastards! They slay innocent women and children. But, the unholy one-"

"-the unholy one will still be there when we finish protecting the innocent. Remember, we have sworn to protect the innocent, no matter what. Don't worry, they won't get away. When I palavered with the Pheonix spirit, I left a small tracing enchantment. No matter where they go, we will find them. But for now, we must protect those innocents."

Gabriel sighed.

"You're right, my friend. We shall deal with them later, but now, we must protect the women and children from those heartless...creatures." Gabriel took one last look at the fire bird flying away, and then turned back down to the ground. He pushed forward with his wings, and began to perform a drop downward. His wings disappeared before he landed. As he landed on the ground, his armor clunked loudly, and he left a large divot in the ground.

He had managed to land behind a group of the Gaians that were attacking the women. One of the Gaians had grabbed an arm of a woman holding a baby, and was about to thrust his sword into her neck. Before he even realized what had happened, the Gaian dropped to the ground, Gabriel's sword leaving a hole in his chest. The other Gaians in the group turned to Gabriel. What they saw was a man in heavy armor, with shaggy hair covering his eyes. What they saw through the hair, though, was a look of deep hate.

"You attack innocents. You attack the unarmed. You attack CHILDREN! That is unacceptable. Prepare to be purified, agents of evil."

The Gaians attacked.

Bright lights could be seen.

Then there were bodies.

And all that was left standing was Gabriel, and the innocents. Gabriel turned to them, and smiled.

"Please, go out the gate. Hide in the nearby forest. Do not come out until this fighting is done."

Arhra 04-02-2005 07:17 AM

OOC: Backtracking slightly in time to explain why Kithar apparently had no reaction to two people landing on Bahamut's back (The reason? - He's not there!) and what Chimaera's been doing.

Kithar watches Chimaera's appearance unmoved. This had not been entirely unexpected. His yellow eyes are unreadable as Chimaera roars. Now was the time to see if his strength was great enough for their purpose. He warns Bahamut of his intent just as Chimaera attacks.

The three blasts of burning acid, biting cold and crackling lightning streak past as Bahamut furls his wings and rolls to the left. As this happens, Kithar launches himself from Bahamut's back in the opposite direction.

It seems an act of purest madness, even considering that it would have been nigh impossible to cling to the dragon's back during that roll. Chimaera's triple aspected attack passes harmlessly through the air between the two. Even as Kithar begins to fall, his movements remain purposeful. His purple cloak fluttering around him and his bow still clutched in one hand, he twists around in mid-air and pulls an arrow from his quiver. Nocking it to his bow in the same practiced motion, he aims and releases.

The arrow whistles through the air, missing Chimaera. Moments later a second arrow follows it. This time, Chimaera is forced to wing to the side to avoid being hit before clumsily evading an attack from Bahamut. The beam of of incandescent light flashes within inches of its serpentine head before Kithar's third and final arrow finds its target.

Chimaera screeches its rage as it feels the razor-edged arrow stab into its chest and dives after the mortal who had wounded it, intent on vengeance. Kithar twists himself around again and hits the ground. The earth collapses beneath him, greatly softening the force of impact. Kithar staggers as he lands in a crouched position and then hurls himself to the side as lightning blasts the spot where he had been.

He rolls onto his feet at the edge of the depression his landing had created and fits another arrow to his bow, aiming upwards at the enraged Summon Spirit that plunges down at him. Bahamut will not be able to aid him - Chimaera is too close. He readies the incantation that will tranform his fired arrow into a powerful spear of molten metal and prepares to hurl himself aside at the very last moment before Chimaera rams into him. It's all in fate's hands now.

OOC: Pretty self explanatory - shoot the swooping Chimaera at point blank range with the Fell Arrow before diving to the side. Come on fate, don't fail me now.

Rhiya Ravenwing 04-02-2005 08:39 AM

OOC: YAY! You're BACK! *furious glomp-huggle, then returns to rp*

Your kin may need some assistance, Manda said as he shook off a dozen elite guards that managed to clamber onto his back. The pricks of their swords had become more irritating. Mikay stood astride the great snake's head and pondered what to do. On one hand, it would be vital to go and defeat their target summoner, but on the other hand, it was Kithar's idea to go on this outrageous quest for the redemption of their world from destruction.
"It's a win-lose situation," Mikay muttered out loud, before giving Manda his new instructions, "head over there with a ram. I don't care WHO gets in the way, Terran OR Gaian. Fall into the earth ten yards before we reach him, and wait for my signal for ambush."

Manda moved his head, and Mikay found herself clinging on tenderly as the great serpent's jaws closer around three unfortunate soldiers, snapping them in two, before replying.
I'll see what I can do, and with that, he gave a few thrashing shakes of his massive body, before pushing forward at a phenomenal acceleration, his speed hitting the maximum within seconds. He charged forward, towards the battling Kithar and the chimera.
Even as Kithar fell, Mikay and Manda dove into the earth ten yards from him, the force of his gathered charge forcing him deeper along with the aid of Mikay's crumbling, Earth Maw technique that loosened the earth for easy tunnelling.

Deep within the bowels of the earth, the two figures waited. Above, the dim rumble of battle could be felt like fine trembling vibrations through the earth, and the furious roar of the chimera echoed down towards them. Kithar had hit the ground then, forcing compact earth down towards them. Not that it mattered. Her half-brother knew immediately where and who was underneath him.

If the Fell Arrow doesn't hit its target, Manda's ambush will.

Of course, with both major Gaian summoners preoccupied, they did not see the telltale shadow of some gigantic bird pass over the land as it circled the battlefield, watching with three pairs of eyes from above.

~~

Catharsis looked down, eyes flashing angrily. The air elemental was right. There is a massacre going on, and it wasn't the enemies that were being massacred.

"Want to go down and make the fight a little bit more even?" she turned to her passenger, a brooding Beowulf, and inqured, "I will stay up here, until I feel I must join in."

Dante 04-02-2005 09:20 AM

"Finally! At last you're talking my kind of talk. Rudra!"

"Yes, boss?"

"Parachute!"

Saying so, Beowulf leaped off Darkwraiven, holding Rudra in one arm, squinting as the wind raced past his face.

Inbred Chocobo 04-02-2005 09:41 AM

After watching Gabriel take off, he noticed the Chimera trying to fight bahamut. He also so another person falling and while falling shoot arrows at the Chimera. "Looks like that Chimera will need help." Kelvin said as he ran to the point where he guess the man would land. While running, something caught his eye. He saw something go borrowing underground in his general direction. He didn't think they where coming after him, and the only thing that looks like it would be worth that much trouble is the Chimera. "Gotta hurry" He says again as he takes off at full speed. When he looked back at the man, he had his bow ready to shot the Chimera when it came in too close. "time for soemthing drastic." He said one last time as he pulled out his sword and threw it at the man shooting the Chimera. The flash of light from the incoming sword must have blinded the Chimera, because instead of landing one top of Kithar, it landed right before Kithar and sent a huge rush of wind towards the man, possibly throwing him back. He knew that if that thing underground attacked now, it would be too late for the Chimera. So he launched himself up and got ontop of the Chimera and yelled to it "Take Flight NOW!" The Chimera sinced the urgency and took flight.

OOC: Sigh. Guys, slow down pls. Let everyone post at least once before you post again.

BiC:

Hmm........things are not going as I have predicted. Quezacotl mused in Tarathiel's mind. The Chimaera's appearance does not seem to be turning the tide of battle....

What do we do then? Tarathiel asked anxiously, though he still looked up in awe at the vast hole the Chimaera had made on the roof of his private chambers.

Perhaps it's time for me to make an appearance... Came the reply. Tarathiel nodded, though slightly apprehensive at the thought of having to summon his trusted companion. To tell the truth, he had never tried summoning his actual form before.

How do I summon you? Tarathiel threw the thought back at Quezacotl.

Just hold the figurine between the palms of your hands and call out my name. Quezacotl instructed.

That's it? That's all i need to call you? Tarathiel asked, somewhat surprised at the easiness of the task. He had thought the summoning process to be a tedious one.

Yes. That is all you need to do. I MUST have a "master" to call upon my name in order for me to appear in your world. Quezacotl explained patiently.

I am never your master, my trusted friend. Tarathiel threw the thought back, not wanting to placate the powerful demigod, as he sense the slight uneasiness of having to call another "master".

I appreciate your kindness, but we have more pressing matters to attend to......my friend. Quezacotl reminded him pointedly.

"Very well then." Tarathiel said to himself as he took hold of the bronze idol with his two hands.

Quezacotl.... He whispered.

Suddenly, the bronze idol flared brightly, and a gray mist suddenly appeared in front of Tarathiel. Surprised, Tarathiel almost dropped the figurine to the ground, but he managed to hold firm to the delicate idol before it could slip from his fingers.

The gray mist begin to take form, but knowing that the small chamber would not be enough to hold it's true size, the mist shot out into the sky through the hole where Chimaera had appeared earlier. The grey mist hardened, and turned into the real creature that it truely was. Quezacotl.

Quezacotl's avatar had no face, as he had no need of one. He had the body of a great feathered bird, and the head of a snake, but nothing else reveals any other racial or animal features. Electrical energy sizzled all around him, and mighty winds blew out from his feathery wings.

It has been a long time since I've stepped into the mortal world. Quezacotl's "voice" echoed over the battlefield, though he had no mouth. Time to face the wrath of the Lord of Storms! And with that, he spread open his wings, and many, many bolts of lightning shot out from his feathered wings towards the invading army and towards the form of Bahamut........and his summoner.
