Give me your money!

I would sit on my taxes and see how long the drummers could last. It would be like a municipal Survivor. :p |
Hehe, this is interesting. Never thought drummers could be used to collect taxes. =P
|
Hmmmmm. It's an interesting thought, but worse instruments could be used. They would have no problem collecting taxes if they used a couple hundred people with bagpipes, who don't know how to play them.
The same could be said for Accordians: play non-stop polka music and either they'll pay up, or have a psychotic episode. |
Reminds me of the debt collection service/gag company that has an 18-wheeler pull up outside the guy's place and disgorge this guy dressed up as Satan, along with various scantily-clad chicks, for the soul purpose of harassing him into paying his debts.
|
Heh, I'd go pretty crazy if a mob of people started playing drums outside my house all the time.
No. Sleep. At all. Although the bagpipes would be worse. Hatred of bagpipes and the sounds they make has run in my family's blood for generations -we just can't stand the things! --The Jaded Falcon "All right! You win!" |
Well, to the Scotish/Nova Scotian ear, bagpipes do not sound all that bad, in fact the more there are, the better they sound. I suspect Squishy Cheeks/JADguy might agree with me here.
HOWEVER! There's nary a person on Earth, be he Tartan or Pansy, that can tolerate the sound of a piper who doesn't know how to play. That is the key. Think about it, even if by some major force of willpower the debtor does not pay, the neighbors would suffer enough to be willing to pay their debt for them. Or murder them in the heat of sound wave induced passion. Either way the government benefits. One less Pension to pay. |
I love the bagpipes, much as I love claymores and strong alcohol. Scottish blood runneth true. ;)
The more there are, the better they sound...as long as the person playing them actually knows how. SAAM is a wise man. |
I won't fight the bagpipes, but have you ever heard a violin newb play behind the bridge? It's worse than nails on a chalkboard. I would probably enforce that over drums because even any dogs and cats they own would go nuts.
|
Ouch! Bad stuff. Try haveing a untought person playing whos deaf. They can't hear it but you can. Anyways that's when you find the worst music ever and turn the amplifiers up to max. Fight fire with fire, fight music with music.
|
Hehe. This reminds me of the "Pay or we play!" campaign the Baritone section came up with. We weren't getting much money from the door-to-door fundraiser so we planned to go around next year with our instruments and start playing very loudly until people either paid us or called the cops. Or stand on the corner of the school sidewalk and sing "Henry the Eighth" until everyone went nuts. Good times, good times...
