Ultimate Survival Horror Ch. 2: Inside the Compound
The man lead them deeper inside the compound. "This is odd. This place was made to stand up to both vampires and werewolves. What could have done this?"
Soon they came to an intersection. "The preverbial fork in the road. Ok we will have to split up...by the way what are your names? Mine is Kent." Once he got them he split them up. "Ashely, Rapheal, and Alex will stick with me. The rest of you will head to the left. Take a this double barreled shotgun and a few gernades." He lifted up a panel in the floor and handed everyone a high powered hand gun. "Conserve your ammo. We only have enough for one clip each. Thats 20 rounds. Oh and one last thing." He picks up three walky-talkies and give two to the other group. "I am frequency 38.0, the other one is just in case. Check in every half hour or so, or if you find something. Be sure to grab one of those medical kits while your at it." After that they split up. After a few minutes they find a young girl in an empty supply room. Kent walks over to her. "Are you ok?" |
After stuffing a medical kit into his luggage, Dan brought out the swiss army knife and the crowbar, and set it on the nearby table. "Anyone without something for melee combat, take these. If nothing else, use them as a distraction while you run." He put his own knife in its sleeve, and held the handgun with his finger behind the trigger to avoid firing. "Whatever got through definitely won't be pretty. If we only have 20 shots each, make sure every one counts."
Ashley quietly follows Kent, along with the rest of the group. She draws her knife, considering the fact that the person leading seems to feel it is necessary to carry multiple large guns at all times, and, given the magnitude of the situation, it's understandable. She takes a position in the corner of the empty storeroom when they enter, and quietly scans the room, alert mostly out of fear and apprehension.
*Spot Check!* It may be empty, but constant vigilance! |
Rapheal was very grateful that they had managed to survive this long. The girl seemed a bit out of place, but then again this was the place where everyone was running towards. As Kent tried to talk to the girl, Rapheal asked "Think we should tell the other group what we found?" As he holds the walkie talkie and points to it.
Spot Check: The room is completely bare. There are several lockers and other storage areas. Most of which are both open and empty.
"No need to call them yet. One shell shocked surviver isn't much to report. Wouldn't wanna spook them without need. Besides we can tell them when we check in." |
Eyeing the group carefully, Maylin decided that they are safe since they had guns and not claws. "I guess I am fine, as fine as you can get about now." She said standing using her bat to help her a bit. She picked it up and put it over her shoulder, "I'm Maylin. Who are you guys?"
He helped the girl up. "I am Kent. I was sent to look for survivers and bring them here. There is another group exploring the compound. Do you know what happened?"
Ashley smiled at the young girl. "I'm Ashley," she said, waving her hand a bit in a hello gesture, "Hi." and continued to stand in the corner, looking at the lockers and other storage areas, and after a few tense seconds, decided to try and open one. "I wonder if we can find anything useful in these things." she whispers to herself, while trying to figure out the opening mechanisms for the various storage media.
"All I know is I was at a party in the warehouse district and these people attacked by the door, they were killing other people, everyone freaked out and started pushing their way towards the stage, as if it was safe but I guess that anywhere that wasn't by these people was safe. But then the 'dead' people got up, started walking and attacking more people. It was horrible. It was like all they wanted to do was attack people... kill people..." She shook her head hard, trying to forget the events. "So what do we do now?"
He stood there for a moment. Carefully thinking out what would be the best move. "Ok looks like there wont be too many survivers, and searching this way will take too long. We will make it to the security area. The servaliance equipment should show us were any of the other survivers are. Contact the others and tell them to make their way to the main control room. There should be maps posted on the wall to show where vital areas are."
