Perditions Tale, Chapter 11: "Abandon All Hope"
 

(OOC: we're restarting at the point where the guards burst in and attack. and no attacking/hurting each other this time, savvy? Thid had just realized he had Cesia's knives and Gin had told the others of the danger coming.)

Just then, a group of knights came in. "You must be the ones that Lord Hessien is looking for. We will not allow you to get away and cause more trouble in our kingdom." The captain looked at Cesia, "And you must be the imposter look-alike. That's really sick to try and pretend to be our dearly departed princess." He and the other knights got in a fighting stance, "Don't think that just because you are a woman that we will go easy on you." Cesia reached for her knives, knowing they would probably have to fight, but they were missing,
She was about to inspect where her knives were, but one of the soldiers lashed out his sword at her. She yelped and jumped back, barely avoiding the blade.

"Ha, attacking the pricness... Oh, this one is going to come back and bite you guys in the ass." Lynx remarked.

The soldier looked at Lynx, "Has this witch poisoned your mind as well? She is the imposter. Our beloved princess died honorably at the hands of Skurai the wizard before the great Lord Hessien could save her!"
"Cid is the one that is poisoning all of your minds!" Cesia yelled at them.
"Liar! Our Lord Hessien is a noble, good man!" He slashed out with his sword once again at Cesia. She jumped back again, but her foot caught on something, causing her to stumble back. A small trickle of blood ran down her arm, the sword barely hitting the side of her arm. "Each of you will die for helping this traitor and imposter!"
"Uh. Guys, I don't think he's going to listen to us..." Cesia put her hand over the small wound. <Where the heck did my knives go?>


(OOC: feel free to making things go differently than they did in the previous chapter. ^_^ )

While avoiding blades, Lynx continued to talk. "If you remember correctly, Cid hand picked a group to come with him. Each person here is part of that group, and will testify that Cid she is the princess. Go check the records if you want, I personally told the record keepers to take them before we left, so they are there."

Gin savegely struck the knight that attacked Cesia in the chin with the blunt end of his naginata. The knight when flying back.

"Enough of your lies! The people who accompanied Cid are noble heroes, not you bunch of renegade rebels!" The knight who said this swung his sword at Lynx.

The rest of the knight sprung forward to fight. A small group of the knights swarmed on Gin, who had been the first one to actually strike one of the knights. Cesia backed up from oncoming knights, "We need to get the two upstairs and get out of here!" She yelled to the others.

Lynx avoided the blade, then jumped onto the knights head and past him, then got to the stairs. "You know Cesia, you've got the most idiotic kingdom I've ever seen."

Gin was beyond graceful with his weapon. He moved like a whirlwind among the knights. Disarming some and flinging others, causing only minor injuries with his blade. Only using enough force to incapacitate his opponents. He was amazingly controlled and skilled. He back flipped over one cutting his achilles tendon and then mule kicking the knight into another knight.

Thid went to the second level of the stable and peered out a window. All of the forces that were surrounding the building were slowly making their way in. And to Thid's surprise, there were more than he had first thought, much more.

Well, this kills my plan of letting them fight their way out to me.

Chibi Good Thid: You know you could probably get them out of there, make a hole in the side of the building facing the stables and let them run here, mount and we get away. Simple.

Thid: Oh yea? And how do you expect me to do that?

Chibi Good Thid: Magic of course.

Thid: I hate magic. No way in hell am i going to start using it again.

Chibi Good Thid: But you made those arrows. And even if they are used to disable mages, they still involve magic. So you might as well go the extra mile and blow up that wall. You got the skills and equipment, and if you don't do everything you can to save them then i'll pester you for eternity!

Thid: I hate you...

Chibi Good Thid: *sigh* Most people do hate their good sides.

Thid then made his way back down stairs and hurriedly removed several more arrows, the pen knife, and this time a roll of silver wire. Then he began to work furiously. If I’m going to make magic arrows again then i might as well make more than one, they might come in handy.

[OOC] Well, this is slightly different, not by much though. Btw, cheery chapter title.

Edit - Oh yea, Thid's ability to make these arrows will be explained later. After the fight i expect I’ll have to explain it to the other members of the group. Ooo, and you get to see what's so special about the black arrow with a silver tip that I’m carrying around to shoot Cid with.

Celes, if you want me to pm you about what I’m going to say then just let me know. [OOC]

OOC: Er... Your making up a new ability, but doing so before you even aprove it to Celes... BH all over again... People already were complaining about how your some-what magic immune guy has magic abilities, this will just make it worse...
