Presents for you and yours
Well, what is everybody getting each other for Christmas? I'm getting diabetic chocolates for my mom, but I don't know what tog et my dad, because eh's into high-tech (read: expensive) toys, like portable DVD players, PDAs and audio systems. Ideas?
|
Hrm.... It would just depend on your dad's taste. My dad for instance, is really big into hunting, so I went and bought him a new super bright flashlight for when he's stuck in the woods searching for a deer he's shot ^^
|
I have no money, so whatever I buy would come out of my parents wallet, so I told them to buy themselves whatever they wanted, and it would be justified as their Christmas present from me.
|
I got my girlfriend books...she likes books (and since she comes here I can't tell you which ones). And I got my Mom an alarm clock with a snooze button.
All I got for my brother is burning resentment, however. As for friends, I don't have those. Unless you count the penguins who live in my freezer! |
So, what did you get the penguins, Bez'? Or are you still mad that they ate all your frozen pizzas? ^_^
Everyone I know either told me what I was getting them, or was insanely easy to buy for. Except for my older brother's kids. I couldn't find any more insanely loud and annoying toys, so I had to settle for colouring books and crayons, and hope that they would decide to turn the wall into their own private work of art. Y'know, it's a little sister's duty to annoy her brother, even if it's only a running gag. ^_^ |
I got my mom a 128 meg SD card for her phone so she can put mp3's on it...
I got my grandmother Jak II... Havent got my grandfather or my dad anything yet. Today is as good a day as any. |
What I got my Father: A day calander, a candle I made for him (It's a hobby of mine.) and a couple of music CDs.
|
I'm poo'. My parents buy a bunch of stuff, then randomly select names to put on the packages.
I think my friends will all get autographed d6s from me. I've got plenty of them. |

Well, considering my friends are getting zilch from me I have no right to call you that... |
To my Mom: Squeege mop, new set of measuring spoons. $15.
To my Step-Dad: Mag-light*. $15. To Both: New microwave. $60. To my Dad: Two sets of drumsticks, six months of the new Uncanny X-Men comic remade into a book, The Hulk PS2 game. About $50 - $60. Got a bit out of hand with his gifts, in retrospect. To my Sister: As of yet, nothing. I don't like my sister, but I'll probably get her something. $0. Probably $15'ish. To my Brother: Ratchet and Clank PS2 game. $20. To Friend 1: Big ass hunting knife. Looks more like a short sword, honestly. $15. To Friend 2: 28 Days Later DVD. $20 or so. To Friend 3: Autographed copy of Michael Moore's new book. Can't remember what it's called - I bumped into his brother and he suggested I by it for him. $25. To Friend 4: Simpson's Hit and Run game PS2 game. $40. So that's...what, about $250 so far? * = Really bright, heavy flashlight. Like the ones cops use. Good for hitting people with, too. |
