Music Is Good
 

I was very surprised to find that their wasn't really a general music thread so I decided to make one.

My favorite bands include: Streetlight Manifesto, Big D and the Kid's Table, The Aquabats, the Mad Caddys and the Voodoo Glow Skulls.
My favorite music genre: SKA!!!!!!! (I love ska so much it scary) but I'll listen to other stuff 2, like classic rock and jazz.

Since music makes me happy I figured someone else feels sorta the same way, so here's a thread to talk about it in.

Also, I wasn't sure where to put this so I just stuck it in general.

I've been a fan of Voltaire for a couple years now. His lyrics are very original and his instrumentation is really great www.voltaire.net he has some free samples there.

Lately I've started listening to Jhonny Cash, whic is strange because I hate country. I've also for some reason (I wish I knew so I couldd stop) I've begun listening to Aqua a lot too :confused: .

Mike Oldfield is another of my favorite artists. If you don't know his name you probably know the song Tubular Bells, which is the theme from Excorcist.

I like The Mars Volta quite a bit. Their two albums (De-Loused in the Comatorium and Frances the Mute) are awesome, and I'm getting their EP (Tremulant EP) today. (don't ask how. I swear I use perfectly legal means... in my area) They both sound good and, if you listen to their lyrics, have intersting meanings and stories.

The Black Mages are quite good too.

Linkin Park is not bad, though lately I am steering away from them.

Most techno songs are also good, though I look at them (and at most music) on a song by song basis. And don't flame me for calling it techno. Frankly, I barely know the difference, and it's easier to file it all as techno anyways. (though it is not)

Not to insult anyone elses genre's however to paraphrase Jim Sveda, they are as finger paintings next to the Masterpieces of Classical.

That said I like TMBG, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Weezer, and Oingo Boingo.

Right now my MP3 player is overwhelmed anything Noubou Uematsu has ever written, Streetlight Manifesto, and Mindless Self-indulgence.

I am agreeing with your choice of music evil, that's almost exactly what I have... maybe we're the same person?

That could be... it makes since, we have impeccable taste in music. And you are you but to yourself you are me and I am me to me. So we are both me... :(

Speaking of MSI, they are going on the road soon. And making a stop around my area, I can't wait!

Streetlight manifesto is probably the best band in the world.

Also the reel big fish album is out on the 5th. I can't wait.
