red mage
dont you think :rmage: is the least evloved chacarcter?i mean we have:
white mage struggling with the death of black belt and getting hit on by :bmage: then we have :bmage: trying to destroy the world and get :wmage: next we have thief who was trying to save his father.though his chacrater dosnt seem to 'move' anymore, lastly theres fighter with his dreams with me swordoplis and quest for swordchucks.yet what is red mage other then a twink? |
Nope, Red Mage is almost completely static.
and I don't see any change soon. Thief is pretty static too. They're more or less just there so that Fighter, Black Mage, and White Mage have interesting conversations. Fighter is really the only one whose character is all that intriguing to me. |
The characters have developed in their own ways.
Red Mage CLEARLY has changed in one form or another, such as no longer being so adamant about preserving his versatility. |
No, hes using spells and items because it wouldn't of been funny for him to always say "and become less versital? I think not"
Hes using stuff and making plans because its funnyer. |
Does he have to chabge? He works with the team just fine as is. He's still funny and doesn't keep re-using he same jokes over and over. He doesn't reference RPGs as much and it's been awhile since changed his character sheet too.

All the main characters are always the same, they just do different jokes. Thief will always be a stingy leader with sticky fingers, Fighter will always be the childish sword master, Red Mage will always be the dice hockey he's always been (Messing with the laws of the universe is something every role-player does on the daily) and Black Mage will always be vaguely evil. The only changing characters are White Mage and BlackBelt. White Mage is slowly discovering the world she lives in is quite gray, and BB is dead, as one black belt is in smithereens while the other is a inanimate statue currently being used by brian as a door stop.

There was that bit in the comics that revealed that Red Mage had a father complex because his dad wanted a girl. And his cross-dressing urges! Thief might have been lying to BM when he said that he was responsible for it!

Red Mage certainly hasn't had any emotional changes, but he is a lot different from his earliest incarnations. In the early comics, much was made of the fact that RM reads RPG players' guides and thus has a deeper knowlage of their universe. This concept was pretty much abandoned simply because it was more fun having RM be clueless.
Also, RM used to make frequent and overt references to D&D almost all the time. Now he only mentions D&D occasionally and also works in other RPGs (tabletop and electronic). |
I think the best case to say is that Red Mage past was never said. ALSO he never had a story line for him self. See BM died became over lord, Thief was back as being Prince, Fighter mumbles about his past, Red Mage..is like BB...not much was known about his past even BB got one flash back to Ryu and Ken. So White Mage talking about her past in her teachings.
Ya...I feel the orbs will bring out the best of each one. If Red Mage dose not get any main goal I feel he might be KO sooner or later heh. |
What orbs are left?
