After a hour of running, Darik sat down heavily.
"Right...so...maybe running...after getting hit in....the head wasn't...such a hot idea...after all." He said in between gasps for air. Still, he had a pretty good idea where the man was going. The battle still lay a few hours ahead on foot, and if the man was an invader, he'd be going there to help his kind. After a few minutes to catch his breath, Darik started walking again. |
"Thank you for the healing." Kelvin said. He then placed his armor back over the newly healed areas he had removed it from. "Is there anything I can do to repay you for your healing?"
Let's hope that question doesn't get us in over our heads. Well how much is a girl wandering in the woods with a 3 headed dog going to ask for. Good point. |
OOC: kildare, Read my previous post.

OOC: OOPSY, MY BAD. I completely MISSED the paragraph where you said you knocked me away. I shall edit it.

Angelith was pretty sure about what she wanted, but she really had to think about it. Food and water were nice, but she didn't need them immediately. A new place to live...well, the encampment wasn't much of a place to live to begin with so Angelith could cope with that discomfort. What did she really want.
Before even really thinking about it..."I just don't want to be alone," Angelith said, and realized that this was truely what she wanted the most. More important to her than dying of starvation or thirst, more important than a roof above her head. She just wanted someone near. |
It sounds like she has a troubled past.
This girl, Angelith, obviously has great healing powers, if she doesn't want to be alone then take her with you. "Angeltih, I feel as if we both could benefit if you joined me in my journeys. If you do not wish to be alone then this may be the anwser. Though I must warn you, my journey is a hard and dangerous one, and I must warn you to think about your decision. It might not be the wisest thing to just randomly follow someone you found in the woods." Kelvin then sat quietly, waiting for a response. |
Angelith couldn't agree more with what Kelvin had said, but then her awareness of her position won out. "Alone and out here, I'm probably as good as dead. My special friend here, Cerberus, wouldn't be able to protect me for every little attempt at my life. I simply can't afford to be left to myself for now. Whatever the dangers or the trials, I don't think I have much of a choice, and if your path is indeed perilous, then what could you lose by having someone along to keep you alive?"
|
"It isn't me who I am worried about." Kelvin then got to his feet. "On a different note, I am curious as to how strong your healing abilities are." Kelvin then seemed to start gathering magic.
If you hadn't guessed, I am summoning you. Well, thanks for the heads up. Suddenly, Kevlin threw up his arms and a portal opened up, above the woods. The Chimera launched out of it and landed tearing through some of the trees. "Angelith, look at my friend's wing. You will notice it is broken and I am curious if you can cure it." I just hope she can, I don't know how much more I can take of this broken wing. |
Andrew and ThunderPaw continued through the trees, not speaking, only moving. This was what life truly was. Motion. It wasn't the from o the to, it was the where one was now, and how fast they were going. Everything else just seemed to fade away, and the two seemed, well, happy. As happy as they had once been, a boy and his dog, rather than a summoner and his summonee.
Unfortunately, this feeling of euphoria would not last forever, as they were now approaching the scarred battlegrounds which had once been the castle. If the battle seemed close, they would jump in, but if it seemed already to be decided, then they would just continue to run. For if victory was assured, then help was not needed, and if defeat was assured, then help would not be enough. Life was too precious to waste on a cause if it turned out to be a lost one, and even if death did not come in a pointless battle, then still the time drew death ever closer. But that problem would not come up for many miles yet. For now, they ran. |
Angelith was surprised at first, but soon regained her composure. For a long time, she thought she was the only one with a Summon. Maybe meeting Kelvin and learning of his ally was important? Anyways, Angelith just had to look at the damage.
Angelith scaled the Chimera like one does a steep hill. When she got close enough to examine the wing, she literally hissed like someone does when touching something hot. The sight of blood was bad enough, but this wound made it difficult to keep what little food she had consumed down. Still, she sounded at least a little professional as she weighed her options. "Will this...will your friend trust me to patch its wound? I will have to set the bone and it could hurt pretty bad. Plus, it might resist the urge to have its wing pulled into place. Maybe if it was binded down." |
