Knights of the Realm ch. 2: Cirque du Knights

Thomas woke up from his bed in the hidden bedrooms a few hours later. It was roughly noon from what he could see in the reflective windows. His head was pounding. Even Samuel was tottering a bit on his perch. He had sipped up some of what Thomas had spilled. Thomas got up with a little protest, and began to awake the others.

Within an hour, everyone had their supplies and their transportation. There was quite a bit of complaining from those that felt the effects of last night's alcohol. They may be great warriors, but they couldn't hold their alcohol for shit.

The mention of a lion tamer the night before had Thomas thinking. If they were going to parade around as a circus, they would need people with actual experience. And he knew just where to go.

The Traveling Circus of Samrun would be riding on the Grand Road to the city of Incrad for the grand celebration of the Great Battle. The Knights would join up with them at the place that they would camp, and convince them to allow the Knights to hide amongst their numbers to gain access to the city.

Thomas had already taken his disguise potion. His long black hair flapped around his head, and his brown eyes darted around. The scar over his right eye was still there, but it was something that he would accept. He wasn't much for taking potions. One would be enough.

Thomas glided in the air on his wings. As the group headed for the Grand Road, he glided down low near the other Knights, so that he may stay in their conversations.

An odd version of Niall stood amongst the knights now. Far far shorter than before, but even that classified him at normal hight. He had the look of a very old man, perfect for any job he might take, and had lost a great deal of his hair and any remaining was white. He had gained a darker skin tone than to his natural paleness and now looked normal for the lands.

He had no real affect from the other night for he had potions to cure that and if they were smart they would ask him for one. Though if they didn't he wouldn't be able to stand thier whining much longer and would give them one anyway. Though watching a bird with a hangover was quite humorus.

His voice seemed far more strained than usual when he asked, "So have we all settled on what we are going to be preforming as, I'd like to know we will be ready when we get there." he himself had finalized on bieng a magician and amazing people with the quickness of hand, which if you looked at seemed far more trained than the rest of the new body, still old yes but definitly quick.

Adellah, or "Jilleen" as she now called herself for the duration of the disguise, barely looked anything like her old self. Where her hair was once dark and short, now hung as low as her waist and was a silky, shiny pink. Her skin tone was much brighter as well. Not pale, exactly, but definitely without the prominent tan that Adellah had. Thankfully enough for the potion, Jilleen's clothes also changed. Now she wore a lovely dress, obviously showing off her best features, but functional for the sake of traveling, and quite expensive looking. Her eyes were a piercing dark green, a change that Jilleen thought was the weirdest, considering her bright tone and hair. Even her voice was different. Adellah's voice purred softly. Jilleen's squealed excitedly. Jilleen kept her Giant's Axe and Slaughterang in the carriage, keeping the large knife she had concealed underneath her dress. She was speaking with Cecilia now, and seemed to be enjoying the conversation. More or less importantly, Jilleen was practicing on her new personality.

"Now, what I did when people started trying to gain my hand in marriage was to arrange several of the beefiest men to be beaten quite a bit. By myself, of course, and I left them where a lot of people would find them. I chose the strongest men so that people would know that before they decided I was good for a wife, they should decide if life was really worth living. I also chose them because tougher men are easier to beat up without accidently killing them. The way I see it, if you go around, killing people just because they're proposing for you, then the one you really want will be a little too frightened to want to bother with you."

During the night, Cecilia had also taken a disguise potion, now her hair was a little longer than before, she could wear it in a ponytail and still it would reach the small of her back; she also looked lke she's been standing in the sun for a while, because now she was quite a bit more tan than she had been before.

At the question of what each of them were going to do, Cecilia answered, "I believe I'm going to do juggling, and perhaps a bit of bareback riding." She said.

Laughing a bit as she looked at the others, she commented, "I think most of us have accomplished looking different." She drew her cloak around her, "Do you think we could borrow some circus clothing when we arrive?" She asked.

(OOC: Cecilia juggling and bareback riding is okay, right? or were other people going to do one of the two?)
EDIT OOC: Heh I think AB and I were writing out posts at the same time, we both have red/pink hair and tans. heh Strange. Great minds thing alike?

OOC: "We could always pass for twins. Heck, that would make us seem even less like Knights of the Realm."

Kal had changed. Instead of the handsome man he'd once been, he was now horribly deformed and crooked in his face. A polar opposite of what he normally was. His hair was also a dirty blonde and looked like it hadn't been washed for weeks.

For clothing, Kal simply wore some tattered breeches and an old cloak he'd found in the room.

"This is...new."

His voice has also become strangled, like a twisted old man. Mothers would say that he sounded like he was going to molest small children.

"I doubt anyone would recognize me now."

OOC:I'll just have Niall complain about you two drinking from the same bottle. As drunk as they were it is definitly possible. Yeah twins sound good.

"You two turned out way too similar you may have to take an act together to even it out." said the new weak voice of Niall. He frowned up at them and said, "You know there is only one way to turn up like that you either have to have very similar personalities or..." to make it sound a bit disgusting to them he just stopped there but he knew it just ment that they drank the same solution but seeing how drunk they were it would be funny to creep them out a bit.

Damion was grumbling about a sore shoulder as he rode along with the others, "I think I pulled something hauling Adellah off to bed, aye dark one, this ones gonna hurt for a bit." He mumbled to no one in particular.

Damion, refusing to cover his scars, had only changed his hair color to a tawny gold, and his eyes to blue, the pure dark they usually were would probably be too much of a give-away. He wore a gaudy pair of red and gold breeches, and a matching hat. He pulled from his saddle a lute he had found in the safe-house and began to strum and hum an old traveling tune.

OOC: I was gonna be a juggler but instead I'll be a bard type guy.

Kima Azure 04-12-2005 06:17 PM

Kel didn't look too different. His body had changed its tone into a darker one and he was sure his eyes were smaller, but other than that, he was fine.

He was currently riding a horse, even though horses weren't exactly supposed to be ridden that way. Still, it wasn't so bad. At least he wasn't screaming their plot to the world.

Lycanthrope 04-12-2005 08:14 PM

Devon, now scar-less and blond, rode alongside the others in a stoic silence, wondering how long it would be before they would be forced to give away their positions. His mind went over the acrobatics routine he had developed in his mind. Riding up next to Thomas, he asked "Exactly how far is it to these performers you know?"
