All I can say in response to this whole idea, despite the fact that this is a hoax, is this: People routinely eat rabbit. Rabbit is a fine meal, actually, and tastes pretty damn good. Yet people poured thousands of dollars into this. To quote Veritas, "We only want to save the cute animals."
