DS vs. PSP (round 2)
Well, time for another battle between why we think which system is better or equal.
A note from the old board: The PSP is NOT selling out. Why? It's too darn expensive. If no one can afford it, no one will buy it. Also, any new line-up of games for the PSP to come for this holiday season? The Nintendo DS has a long line of games set up, with titles such as Nintendogs, Golden Eye: Rogue Agent, Animal Crossing, Mario-Kart, Pac-Pix and Meteos to name a few. (not too mention Viewtiful Joe, a Sonic Game, Another, Into the Blue, Kirby: Cursed Canvas and plenty of other titles though some which look to be crap) Once those DS games come out, I can finally say the DS has landed. (bought a DS for $100 since a store was openeing and wanted to attract customers) |
I love the DS! I dont like PSP.

Also, the DS has the ability to play games not usually played on consoles, let alone handhelds.
Age of Empires is coming out! Though, I don't know how good a port of a port will be (it was ported to PDA also) |
It's hard for me to really decide on which I like better, but I guess I'd have to stick with the PSP. Even though the NDS has more games I play out for it, supports GBA, and folds in to protect the screen better, I prefer the games for PSP. Metal Gear Ac!d and Untold Legends are really good, and while I can handle the touch screen with the best of them, I hate how the DS makes every game that comes out for it rely on the touch screen. I don't even wanna buy Metroid Prime Hunters when it really comes out because of that.

All I know is I'm loving my PSP. Lumines has some of the best music ever for a handheld.

all i can say is if nintendo had blizzard remake star craft for the ds and used the touch screen..... nintendo would make a assload of money
|
PSP of course! You can't view your favorite 8-bit strips on a DS.
|
Nintendo are releasing a multimedia device called play-yan which allows GBA and NDS to play Mp3's and MPEG (some type of movie format). Since these can be held on small Sim-card like devices it could be a reasonable contender to PSP on every single front!

Ive played my friends DS for hours and ive never played a PSP but from every thing ive seen I want a PSP a hell-of-a-lot more than a DS.
but as they say you get what you pay for. |

plus addictive and unique games like polariam and yoshi's touch and go are exclusive to the DS and cannot be replicated on another system, and we'll soon have an exclusive Viewtiful Joe game too |
