Awful Fantasy III
 

Seems as if one of the forum regulars over at Something Awful has gone and spoofed Final Fantasy III/VI. The thing seems to be pretty funny... if weird... very very weird...

And I might add (though it should go without saying, being that it's somethingawful.com and all) that it has a fair share of adult humor, by which I mean frequent swearing, references to uncommon sexual acts, (to an extent) graphic images and, well, no matter what, knowing the site, it's in there somewhere.

It's seemingly based on their forums. We should do something like that sometime.

I played up to the mog help section, I was laughing too hard to continue. I'm also currently playing through the real game, so I don't have the patience to play again.

Guard:"Cookie, cookie, cookie, gimme cookies!"

Army man:"When you're feeling hungry..."
Soldiers: "Put a tasty snacky in your tummy!"

I should put those in my sig, if I knew how that is.

Grrrr. I suck at FF games, and livestock keeps killing me. Still, the little tiny bit I have played is really fun.

It does help if you've beaten the original and remember some tactics. (Target the football player and heal when he retracts)

I find myself playing it way too much... downloaded it yesterday and am already 5 hours into it. I do believe that's faster than with the original. Jeez.

Random quote (from the first villager I met while searching for OMGWTFBBQ, the equivalent to Terra):

Well, I played a bit of the beginning, and I DID laugh... but, it's from SA... there isn't anything like Goatse or Tubgirl randomly put into the game later, is there? If so, I'll just stop now.

I got up to where you're supposed to go into the beginner house... seeing "You fucked up!" followed by the resultant enemy killing my party in one shot nearly killed me with laughter... until I remembered I forgot to save.

Ah yes. I forgot to warn you not to open the treasure box in the beginners' house. *ahem*

And while some enemies' attacks have names like "hello.jpg" or "pain4.jpg" (trust me, you do not want to know about this one, and the lesser we talk about it, the better), I've yet to see an actual image of that kind. See previous comment about being 5 hours into the game.

I can't say I am enjoying myself a lot, I think a lot of it is pretty messed up, but for some reason I am drawn to keep playing it. I think the best scene so far was when the Ghestal figure goes up to the troops and says, "GET OFF MY LAWN"
