As soon as he finished laughing, Alex responded, "Oh, that's just Ezlo. He's a Minish sage who was turned into a hat by a curse. He can be irritatingly talkative at times, but he's useful; he can shrink you to the size of an ant if you find the right kind of portal. If that sounds strange, believe me - it has its uses." He turned back to the mysterious seal. Suddenly, his eyes went wide, and he looked first at Link, then at the seal, then gasped. While still staring at the seal, he pointed to Link again. "Link, I need you to pull out the Harp of Ages and play the Tune of Echoes. I just recognized that seal!"

Ezlo's eyes opened wide.

"You aquired the Harp of Ages? You have done quite well for yourself, my boy. Do you know who the current oracle is, by any chance?"

"Are you guys sure you want to open that portal? After all, whatever's on the other side will KNOCK US ALL DOWN!"

After Rudy finished laughing and came back to his sences (the heat of battle kind of excited him), he turned to Alex. "You know a lot, sir. Like my name. And the gaurdian's name. Are you from the Elu dimention?"

"Your outburst just now is rather confusing. Would you care to explain it? And also, I am sure that a group such as this one would be more than capable of withstanding any great foe at the very least for long enough to reach safety. And in any case, I am certain that Link has a fairy in at least one of his bottles. If anyone does fall, the fairy will restore them."

Link sighed. "Well, as far as I know, I never heard of you, never heard from you, and never heard anything related to you. What are Minish anyway?" He then pulled out the Harb, a sad look in his eyes. "Nayru... I wonder how she is..." Pulling a few strings, he quickly played the short melody. The seal shone for a while, before a blue portal started to spin over it. "Well, this will take us to either the past or the future, depending on where we are." He then looked at Rudy. "As far as I have understood, he comes from some other dimension where we don't exist." He looked up, at Ezlo, then. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any bottles with me right now. Why did you think I could carry any, even so? The last fairies I met made a forest become a maze."

"Sorry about that. Battle makes me start acting strange. I've calmed down though." Only then did Rudy notice that he was talking to a hat. 'The monsters and demons around here are strange but apearantly not all bad. I wonder where here is,' he thought.

OOC: Rudy does not yet understand that he has left his homeworld. He's still trying to understand who these weirdos are, where he is, and what the hell is going on. He will never, however, admit outloud that he's confused and instead tries to gather information in other less direct ways. If his behaveure seems out of character or just plain strange, that is why.

The blue portal swirled with magical flux, awaiting a passenger. Alex watched it, took a deep breath, then turned to the crowd. "Alright. I'm going to enter first. My primary mission is to find a way back to my own world, but my immediate goal is to find the princess and return her here. I have no clue how to do either, but since I'm sure you are all thinking along the same lines, I would ask for help from anyone who would provide it. If I can, I want to see each of you return to your own worlds. If we never meet again, then at least know that I am glad to have met all of you."

After finishing his speech, Alex took another deep breath and stepped into the portal. In a flash of blue light, he was gone.

OOC: After everyone who has already appeared has posted once more, I will start Chapter 2. I will go set up a discussion thread now, so ask your questions there.

Well, I have nowhere else to go. Maybe if I help this Alex guy, he will bring me back to my world. It's worth a shot anyway. Barret thought

"Well it's been nice knowing you all for such a short period of time. Actually I'm glad it's not any longer because you guys are weird. See you."

He walked into the portal. WARP "What the..." Barret said when he got to the other side. For future refrence, I need to remember that I don't like portals.

Garet looked at the portal. "Great, our enemies come back and a portal shows up after he played that strange instrament. Well, might as well go with the whats going on." He took one very big breath and walked through the portal.

"Well, no use waiting here for the portal to close. Maybe we will be lucky and nothing terible will eat us when we go through the portal." Megaman said sarcastically as he stepped through the portal and gazed at the sight beyond.
