"You know we already have food..." Lynx pointed to the pile rations that weer all around Vace, the uneaten pile, not the eaten pile.

"Yeah but... oh nevermind." She stopped herself, sulking a little bit. All she had been trying to do was compliment the guy she liked, and someone had to but in and make her seem stupid or something.

"Well chasing after someone you don't trust, alone, is a bad idea. I could easily kill you before you had time to scream and take your head to the nearest village for the reward. Your just going to have to trust that I won't do that. Good enough for trustworthyness?"

"Fine, I trust you!" Cesia threw up her hands in frusteration, "I was just saying that we hardly know you at all. I know you're a mercinary, but we're not paying you, and don't give me the line about 'it's something to do'. Why are you traveling with us?"

"Well I'm betting on your success. and upon your return to the throne I expect to be compensated. So yes you are paying me and I'm formulating your bill as we go. Also if it takes the castle's treasury to fix whatever damage Cid may have caused, would I be able to trust that you wouldn't want to wait for your payment after this is all over?" She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him, then she waved her hand, dismissing the topic, "Forget it, we can discuss that later, I'm heading back to the camp." She started to head back to the campsite.
