Well, they move the blade to parry, so I imagine you'd still have to hit.
That said, if you're worried about Jedi or Sith, get a Tenloss Disruptor Rifle (Illegal everywhere!
) or Golan Arms Flechette Launcher. (Me? I'm on the lookout for a Phrik/Mandalorian/Cortosis Sword.)
Both are virtually impossible to block properly without other techniques.
