1) Gold/Silver/Crystal (I picked Gold, because that's what I had).
Where the series pretty much hit it's peak.

I love me some awesome fucking flaming porcupines.

4) Also don't care, but I'd really just say catch as much as you can.
Even if you don't use the Legendaries, just kill them and mount their heads on your wall or something (that is an option in Pokemon right?).
