8th Limestone 59, Early Autumn

I don't know what happened, but yesterday I woke up in my bed. My lower arms feels like somebody buried some gravel in it, but from what I'm told it used to look like the great crags from the old Mountainhome. The dwarf taking care of me when I was out said it should be fully healed now, though.

9th Limestone 59, Early Autumn

It still hurts when my sparring partner hits me on the bracer, but for the rest... I guess I should thank the dwarf who took care of me. Good as new!
Things have changed in the military, it appears. More bodies to shield the veterans, it seems.

2nd Timber 59, Late Autumn

On the 28th of Sandstone, it appears Flare was killed. Apparantly a very slow and brutal death. Captain Loyal seems to have taken it very hard, making him unfit for leadership. Though this meant my promotion, I must admit that Loyal made for a fine captain.

17th - 19th Timber 59, Late Autumn

As my squad and I were ordered to clean out the mines next to the river Styx (note: Had I the choice, I'd have called it Boned River. We're certainly boned for having exposed it to the mines) we suddenly noted Loyal running up to us.
Apparently, he's gotten over Flare's death - or not... - and volunteered to act as a vanguard for us. Despite explaining our ambush plans, Loyal did not seem to listen and rushed out.
While I am now captain of this squad, I should probably punish him for disobeying orders and rushing off like that, but... considering the result of his rampage -and the fact he's a Champion- I will let this go with a simple warning.
Mind, this will probably be moot as I'll soon be demoted again with the return of Loyal, but so be it.

Where the hell is Hawk anyway? Haven't seen him in a while. I'll bet he's been put on cantina-duty.
