So the fool's jumped into the river. At least he took that book with him...
He was one of my true friends in this place, I followed him to the ass end of the world to settle this miserable place and now I'm one of the few remaining founders left...*wet spots smear the writing here*
Now onto the important question - who's gonna lead this fort. I personally think it should be one of the original settlers, maybe one who has had experience with leading this place and protecting the fine dwarfs [
indicating miscreants] from themselves.
In other news: Kerensky's vanished.
Pity, I actually liked this overseer. He knew how to deal with elves.

I've been called into a meeting with Queen Mauve about "Her Mountainhome's lack of a proper overseer who shall protect her from the common dwarfs [
indicating low-born] and other riff-raff".
I claimed that I had no idea who was next in line as overseer since Thadius was the one who kept that list...or made it up whenever it was necessary...and he took that damned book with him into the Styx.
Then Queen Mauve, pointed to some random dwarf [
indicating industrious laborer] and declared that they shall be our overseer...
So I had to inform Gregness, one of the Engineers, that in addition to his other duties, he shall now oversee the running of Workgill. And improving my chambers, they need more...I don't know...engravings and other finery.
By Armok, I hope we don't receive any more nobles [
indicating blood-sucking beardless leaches].

Suggestions for the next overseer, you should make Wigmund the next Hoardmaster of Workgill, it's not like he's been doing anything else.
