From the sounds of it there will be other units such as Carrier Ships (which I would assume carry flight-capable fighters and bombers, as well as maybe drop ships to dispense reinforcements where needed), various ground units (deciphering RMBs vagueness leads me to believe everything from infantrymen to battle tanks). Although it does sound like Mechs will be the bulk of the forces on both sides.
Oh and RMB, you mentioned Medium Mechs being capable of Melee combat. Will said melee combat consist of beam swords or standard edged weapons? Or possibly a mix of both, where beam swords are reserved for high-ranking officials?
Also, when can we expect sign-ups?
