Character Name: Task McCragge (formerly Malben)

Gender: Male, but getting kinda creepily effeminate.

Age: 17

Organization: Protector, straight up to the end!

Class: The Demon Thief! Armed with dual blades, l33t acrobatic skills, and the occasional creepy powers!

Special Abilities: Task's access to holy relics became rather scarce to nonexistant when he became Task McCragge and has no official ties to anything anymore than the Mother of Hell and the forces that want to keep her alive in the face of the demonic alternative. However, his access to specific non-holy abilities, particularly demonic ones have increased ever since he and the parasitic demon hitching a ride on the magical seal between himself and a nameless, centuries old demon of pure rage. This understanding allows for a safer channel of the nameless's beings power, but more recently has lead to even 'safer' use of the parasite demon's powers, though much weaker, that at least don't threaten to implode reality.

IN this vein, Task has gained the ability to dissappear into shadows and re-emerge anywhere else there are shadows, by following links of darkness between shadows in a given place (he slinks into a shadow made by a bookcase, follows the shadows through dark cracks in the wall and into the unlit niches of the building, and pops out of the shadows in another shady room, or outside if it's nighttime.

Also: he is able to seemingly 'grow' his hair at length and use it as stabby tentacles. Also, when demony he doesn't wall run, he 'swims' up walls. It is creepy.

Bio: Task, an orphan, originally lived a boring thief-life before one day on a dare entered an abandoned house. Said house had recently been sealed off due to a demon summoning gone awry, but had yet to be cleaned up, the clean up taking extra precaution due to the sheer power of the demon being summoned, as it was feared a proper link was formed, a link that could reattach itself to a lifeform too easily. Long story short: Task became demon possessed, and timely efforts of a Society higher up saved his life and held the demon at bay with seals on every part of his body, and a headband relic that keeps his head clear of demonic influence. Otherwise,Task has the potential to be overcome with inhuman rage, go on a trail of destruction, before the sheer volume of demonic rage energy becomes too much for his body to handle and he explodes, and takes out a small city with him.

The Society member, knowing the hopelessness of the mother of hell's dillema, yet sympathetic to it, tasked Task with the act of using his powers and abilities to protect the Mother, as indeed with time Task proved the act of saving him a worthwhile deed. The society trained him and taught him all he knows with two instructors, and briefly gave him a life he had missed out on with an orphan.

When shit hit the fan, it became dangerous to harbor Task, who would not give up his new mission in life to protect the mother. Not wishing to turn on Task, or ask Task the impossible, the Higher up and his trainers said goodbye, and left Task on his own, not just because the threat of the Society turning on them, but because he had no further need of them anymore.

Following this, Task was adopted by the McCragge family, and is one of the mother's closest protectors. Though they all have to admit his midnight jaunts to raid the fridge are getting kinda creepy.

Lust Demon Bio: The demon that serves as the go between for Task and the Nameless Demon, a weak, parasitic demon that is both too weak to enter the human realm and too weak to fight it's way up the demonic food chain for power, merely surviving by clinging to the all powerful but immeasurably stupid Nameless Demon, and feeding off it's energy. When the link between Task and the Demon was formed, the Lust Demon capitalized upon it, and served to both strengthen it and take advantage of it, resulting in brief struggles between Task and a second personality. The Lust demon has no care for the death of the mother in hell, purely out of self preservation reasons: it's at the bottom of the barrel in the demon world, and if the demons came to Earth, it would still be at the bottom of the barrel. If it could possess Task, and this whole "mother of hell" thing came to a close, then it could live out the rest of it's existence in a vastly superior state than it is as a literal bottom feeder in hell.
As a demon new to the sensation of being human, this demon is very fond of human sensations, very particular ones. Hence, this demon is unofficially named the "lust demon."
Though not directly influencing Task for the majority of the time, Task has since been noticeably "looser" in actions and dress, and has a penchant for innuendo.

Weapons: Twin swords. Originally used more curvy blades, and even some holy relics, but they were eaten, and then exploded, and Task was never given holy relics again.

Notes: They are for what special considerations go with the game, as in it's a special edition, the game in question is only a demo, it's custom signed by some famous bloke, the disc is damaged, this isn't a retail copy, blar blar blar.

But getting back on Task: Task isn't too sure about these Wolves coming up to deal with what he considers a personal job and matter....because he's fairly sure he's done a pretty good job protecting someone who has become like a sister to him, and now these punks with all their special gear show up to replace people he'd respected before they left and or died.

Task should frequently be described as "creepy" by everyone who isn't creepy, or weird, but should also be called weird by people who are creepy and normal for eating breakfast in a crouched position on the dining table and dark encircled hands popping out of the shadows in the supply closet to grab more toilet paper.

That and that one time he was found stuck half naked, (the non naked half being a shredded sailor fuku) through the ceiling of the Mother's room, his head hanging down, complaining about something warm wet and sticky tickling his feet. The enemy responsible for this was dealt with, but Task never explained the fuku, and swiftly changes the subject when approached.
