Character Name: Richard Miles

Gender: Male

Age: 35

Organization: SECA, Protector.

Class: Special Agent

Special Abilities:
  • Military Training: Those five years were a rather big part of his life after all. He was an Intelligence Specialist and was taught investigatory techniques, interrogation techniques, a bit of torture, as well as a bit of clerical skill. Before he had left he had basic hand to hand combat training given to everyone going boots to ground and had marksmanship ribbons in both rifle and pistol. If only because he thought it would look good on his uniform.
  • Marksman: After the incident he built up his personal skill at firearms to a far greater degree. He knows how to wield a rifle well enough but his best work is in pistols, an old habit due to the easy of sneaking around a pistol is far greater than that of other weapons.
  • Hand To Hand: On top of his military training he began working heavily in improving his abilities in hand to hand combat. He figures that having all the strength of a demon is fine, but if you can't actually hit the person it is all for naught.
  • Tactical Mind: Richard has no psychic abilities and yet has somehow survived this long as a Protector. He blames it mostly on this. He can think on his feet and try to find a way to take out enemies that might otherwise kill him. Let this be as complex as filling the air with debris so that the folks that walk through walls accidentally suffocate themselves, or as basic as driving a car into a demon the size of a small train. Either way he will try to think his way out of just about anything.
  • Undercover Agent: Richard has been trained to infiltrate. Because more often than not the best way to break up that demonic cult is to get in close and ruin every event until everyone says it is bogus and you make it look like the leader overdosed on heroin in the alley. If properly prepared he can typically fit in anywhere. Or if he happens to find someone he can knock out who wears the same size clothes as him.

Bio: To begin his real name isn't Richard Miles but -classified- born in -classified- to his parents -classified- who for the most part kept his childhood dark with constant arguments that at times came to blows as well as their general neglect of him growing up. He found that life in his family, no matter which member, shared in this strange chaos of mutual hate and passionate attachment. The longer he stared at it the more it made him sick. He needed to find a way out of chaos as soon as he could to a place where order was king.

He found it in the military.

A soldier in the -classified- branch of the US military he was sent as a job in intelligence, but rather than cracking codes and messages he was sent to crack people. He was rather good at it, reprogramming the brainwashed, interrogating the weak willed, torture of the strong willed. It was all a fine thing for him. It would seem that his calling was in the works of intelligence, and for keeping him away from his parents he planned to stay in the military a long time.

Of course then he met -classified- a strange man believed to have secrets of a strange cult that had captured and murdered a soldier in -classified-. He figured out later the S.E.C.A. had assumed this a terrorist event since there had been no sign of a demon coming forth thus far.

The strange man would prove this to be false.

Not long into the proceedings the man began speaking it what appeared to be nonsense but one of the codebreakers revealed was ancient Hebrew, he would swing about wildly and scream at him. The room would grow hot. The man would cackle loud. Suddenly he would fall silent. Then it all went to hell.

The man had been a hybrid, a slowly changing hybrid but one nonetheless. It had hurled him through the two way mirror and begun its havok on the small base. Men attempted to accost it but these soldiers had barely had any sort of conventional arms training, they were eggheads after all. Most of the men were killed, Richard barely got away at all. Saved as it was by his initial unconsciousness, the distraction of the initial attempt to constrain then kill the beast, but most of all by the arrival of the S.E.C.A.

No longer blind to the knowledge of these things he was accepted into the S.E.C.A. as an Agent, a literal man in black set with dealing with outbreaks like the one he experienced. He honed his use of guns. He learned how to use his hands better. He asked questions about how to kill them. He showed his worth in the field and so he was assigned to be a member of the Protectors.

It hasn't been long since he started, but things have gone downhill for a while. Ever since SECA officially removed their support special ordinance has been impossible to come by. To be honest the weapons he does get have been primarily for old times sake, but he has been here too long to fall out now.

He is ready to see this through to the end, even if it means losing his job.

Equipment/Belonging:
  • One Desert Eagle Mark XIX using .50 AE cartiges.
  • One CZ 75b using 9mm ammo with extended capacity magazine.
  • Pure black Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor with tinted windows.
    • In the back is a FN Scar assault rifle.

Notes: The hiring of BBW isn't exactly grand to Richard. It plays on two points of awkward really. The first being his long time involvement in SECA, which involves the sequences where he has killed, captured, or tortured non-humans. Playing along side the sort makes him itchy. The second is the whole mercenary group thing altogether. His time in the military has permanently instilled into his head that rent-a-guns don't quite measure up to someone who has something emotionally invested in the situation.
