Some of my friends are really trying to push me into going to church even though I keep telling them that I don't really have any interest in it. Sure, I'm a Christian but I just have no interest in going somewhere where the people are so set in their beliefs that they can't even begin to understand why people would want to figure things out on their own.

The other day I lost it on some people when they tried to explain to me how "our God is a jealous one who wants all our love to himself" and this just bugged me. I resolved to let it go but I reached the breaking point when someone, I think he was a pastor, delved into how "our God" does not love indiscriminately and that his love is not unconditional. What had been said to me was just so contradictory to what they themselves believe that I just told them "screw your god, I'll find my own."
