Seil Hey, People Who Cheat In Videogames

Holy fucking shit stop cheating at video games!

Now, it is widely known that human beings are competitive in nature. We want the best resources, we want the most advanced tools, we want to beat our neighbours. I understand that it's bred into us, the desire to win.

And hey, I totally understand it. At least part of it. Back in the day I was no-clipping through Quake walls, god-moding it up in Doom and had infinite ammo in Wolfenstein. But that was back in the day, when games were largely single-player, not multi-player.

I was recently enjoying a game of Team Fortress 2, where my team was close to winning, and I was rushing to my intelligence room with the intel (I was playing a Pyro) and I was immediately blown away by a turret. It's okay, it happens. Enemy Engies sometimes get into your intel room and set up shop.

The trouble was that I had set this Engineer aflame when I died, and when the game briefly showed the guy who killed me, I noticed two things. One, his health wasn't going down, even though he was on fire. Two, he suddenly started levitating, flying through the walls and back to his base in less than a second.

He then proceeded to to this from our base to his with the intelligence in quick succession, winning the game.

Now, it is one thing to die because someone is a better player than you. It's one thing to die when you do something stupid. Itis another thing entirely to die because some fuckwit doesn't have the courtesy to give you a fair game.
