It could get even worse if NPC trainers came from all around the world just to punk on the new kid...

Dandy Old Man: "I've got a level 54 Altaria, a level 56 Lucario, and a level 57 Gyarados. Let's have a fair battle!"
Player Character: "Fair battle, my ass! I just got my level 5 starter one hour ago, you old fuck!"
Dandy Old Man: "But if you beat me, you get 14080 Pokemon Dollars!"
Player Character: "Do I look like I need that much money right now?! Go back to where you stood all the way across the continent. You're making my town smell like a retirement home."
Dandy Old Man: "Could I give you my phone number?"
Player Character: "Why, so you can tell me that your fuckin' Altaria is different from other Altaria? No thank you, I haven't yet found a reason to live yet and you're trying to give me a reason to kill myself."
