Ah, the poetic one of the group. Just thought it was out of context because John is such a common name is not exactly associated with holiness or kindness in and of itself.

And your example doesn't fit because just because John was "loved" doesn't automatically means that he's the sort of person that "loves back", especially the sort of way that Renny treats others. (Although it's quite likely he was at least decently kind)
