I think what bothers me about this recent development is that I guess we're waiting for men to come along and save the helpless little girls from being raped by other men, which is happening for no other reason than to make Ash depressed about being a girl, because then he wouldn't have had to be rescued by men from men, or Missi wouldn't have been bothered because a man was there, or something else that's mostly just an emotional retread except this time rape or the vague threat thereof is involved.
