Square Enix continues its campaign to put Chrono Trigger on every single device you own, with the announcement of a version for Leapster iPhone.
The Square Enix Members blog reveals that an iOS release of the classic RPG will be available "before the end of December." No price was announced, but Square Enix tends to be bold with iPhone RPG pricing: Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions debuted at $16, and even the port of Final Fantasy is $9.

Somehow, a game that's 20+ years old, coming out on the iPhone, making few if any adjustments to it, then putting it for over 10 friggin dollars on a system that's known for $1 apps, doesn't quite settle with me.
First, Square is most assuredly out of their damn minds to have FFT for $16. The game may be great, but damn... It is
TEN FRIGGIN DOLLARS on another console! And looking at the reviews of Square's other games on the iPhone, people complain about the choppy framerate and other bugs that lead to a poor porting of the title. You don't have the option to flip the screen in other titles, along with no multitasking support, combat memory, etc.
So why should I pay overly high prices for a game that's better on other consoles? THINK Square, THINK! I know it's hard for you, but it helps us comprehend what goes through your tiny monopolistic minds.
