Skyrim'd still be like 100x better if they let Obsidian do the writing.
Nope. Oblivion is terrible. Like just, objectively, terrible. Especially compared to Skyrim.
The fighter quest line in Oblivion was what even? I don't remember. I know I beat it... something about dudes who do drugs? Or something? The fighter quest in Oblivion ends with you breaking a generations long curse and stealing souls from a daedric lord, AND you get to see the dude who you saved in the end of the main quest line. I never even beat the mage quest line in oblivion, because again boring and stupid and full of obnoxious fetch questy bullshit, and there was no real feeling that I had to do anything, while the mage questline in Skyrim actually involved world changing events and people right from the get go.
Dark Brotherhood is, arguably, the only thing Oblivion did right, and even that honestly fell horribly short in a lot of ways, like the murder mansion quest line coulda been way more fun if you could have convinced people to kill each other out of paranoia, but nope.
Unless you consider Oblivion to just be the Shivering Isles and nothing else, in which case, yeah, it was pretty aces.
Also: Go Stormcloak if you're a Nord, or Imperial if you're anything else. Feels better that way.
