Video Games The Ship - Steam Murder Game

This literally IS a murder game.

So, here is the thing... i just stumbled upon this game on Steam called the Ship.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/2400/

The Ship is like the Multiplayer portion of assassin's creed, but a bit simplified and more cartoony looking. Also... it's from 2006. But it looks quite nice actually. It has that Team Fortress 2 vibe to it...

At around $15 bucks for an old multiplayer game, i would say it's a bit expensive, but here is the catch...

Quote:
Purchase The Ship and receive two extra activations to send to your friends! Additionally, any user that receives a gift activation will be able to give one additional activation to a friend.
So, you buy 1, get 2 more, each person that gets one of those will get 1 more.

So, on the very least, you buy 1 game, and you get a total of 5 copies. Which is very nice!

Essentially what the game is, is that you are trapped in an ocean cruise where a sadistic mastermind has put you in a dangerous game... there is someone on the ship that you must murder. And someone who must murder you.

That's it!

The game shows a variety of weapons (Melee, to explosives, to poison, to sleeping pills to a machine gun or a revolver) and you can't simply kill anybody on the ship anywhere... there are a few NPC's and officers and cameras that could kill or arrest you on the spot if you simply walk around swinging weapons in the open...

So, it's a bit of Stalkerish cat-and-mouse game, and from what i could find out, it is still active with a few game servers (not many) around to play.

A bit over my price point (and i already have too many games) but i would gladly jump the bandwagon if this caught the eyes of the NPF steam crew... other than that, it seems like a nifty indie title that flew under the radar...
