It's literally just running off my home PC and I never turn off my PC so its should be up unless something needs to be changed or I lose power. I also literally just downloaded the tekkit lite server, unzipped it, fired it up, and pointed a free dynamic DNS at it. It took all of maybe 60 seconds to set it up.
As soon as I get the money together I was planning on putting together a linux machine to set up to just practice with linux in general. I figured I might as well have something to run on it so the server as it is now is kind of a pretest in preparation for that. As such at some point I'll have this moved onto its own machine and will probably move that machine to someplace with better internet connectivity. To make a long story short I'm totally open to suggestions on things to do to improve the server because up to this point I've put in like zero effort and nothing is costing me any money at all. Though it really does seem to be working decently with relatively little lag right now.
