You're in luck! Thanks to the Karma Meter, you can be a good or bad guy regardless of your class, race, background, shoe size, and blood type!

Wanna be a Jedi? You can be the biggest arsehole Jedi in the whole galaxy.
It's all very silly, but you can do it if you want.
Personally, I had a lot of fun in the original free to play model (free to 15 or so, I believe) as a Bounty Hunter. I was an arse who shot some kid's dad so the kid would be shipped off to a Sith academy. He needed something to hate if he was going to survive there, so I like to think it worked out for the best.
That was generally how I played him. Following the letter of the contract regardless of what I was supposed to do. Pity there's no reward for staying neutral as opposed to being a Goody Two Shoes or a Mustache Twilight Menace.
