Fun The Common Thread of Zombie Survival Strategy

Y'know what? i Don't think people think so much about the ''downtime'' of survival. How you manage to settle in in a dying world. Mos tpeople just focus on how to fight and how to fend off attackers... which, ok, it's a big part of the proceedings... but c'mon now. There is more to it than that!

Considering you have a safe spot, and you are in a group. How do you go about sustaining that? Ever thought about it?

Food for thought! HEH.... erh...

You see... there are a couple of things i would prioritize.

Medicine is one. I believe your body will slowly get stronger and fit for survival, but until that day... a flu makes you dead weight. Not talking about just painkillers and morphine here... if i see a case of Vitamin C, i'm taking it.

Another is water and Soil. Drinkable water is really hard to find in most areas of the planet. Specially when it might be tainted upstream somehow... purifying water and making it viable is not easy... so you gonna need filters. And Chlorine on the very, very least... and pray for rain to come.

Soil is also important because on the Run, on the move, you gonna need to rely on making your own food as you go. Livestock doesn't do too good on Zombie Apocalypses. Chickens make a lot of sound, and most other things you could breed to eat involve a ton of logistics and care that you might not be able to handle right now.

That means that you are about to go a few good years as a vegetarian if you want to survive smart. Hard Vegetables and seeds. Compatible with long travel and most climates. Soup is your ally really... portable, easy to share, not so complex to make... and gives you what you need.

Now, here is a high tech one... Maps. The internet is going down... eletricity is going down... might take a while, but it will happen! So what you do? If you find a PC working still and some internet (lucky bastard) you jump on google maps and you print a BUTTLOAD of maps. This gives you specific terrain readings that regular store and road maps will not give you. And may help you get all the stuff listed above.

Surely, weapons are required. You need to defend your stuff or someone with an Ak 47 might just take everything you got... but Weapons are also high risk / high gain . So you need to be smart.

If you still have some of that internet alive... now is the time to get some of those ''how to make a bomb'' manuals the kids keep raging about... !

If not, you might need to improvise. But you better have some nail bombs and the such with the scrap you get on your way...

So... tip of the iceberg, right?

''where you go'' really depends on where you are when shit goes down mostly... and how much you can carry or who are you with all have huge weight to this stuff... do you travel by car? You need gas... foot? Only light load... a big dumb boat? Shut up Kenny.

So, share it with the world... how's survival for ya?
