I'm boycotting XBox One, because, although they removed most of their bullshit ingrained DRM, they still TRIED it, and fuck them.
That said, WiiU bugs me because N64 only had a few good games, Gamecube had even less, Wii less yet. . . and I just don't think I want to waste money on the WiiU until I know it has a library of games I actually want in the double digits somewhere.
PS4 seems most promising with its auto-updating and generally beefier hardware components (a similar dynamic leading to faster load times made the PS3 the option I went for on pretty much every cross platform game last gen), as far as consoles go, given my anti-Nintendo bias born of two and a half generations of general disappointment.
But, to be honest, I haven't touched a console in months. The last console game I really played to completion was Dragon's Dogma. Ni No Kuni was really good but I kinda petered out about half way through (maybe over).
With most cross platform games also being released on Steam, the fact that I already have a computer that can run them, and the faster load times and higher graphical settings available on PC, all combined with the actual technical improvements from PS3/360 to PS4/One being pretty minor as far as what we, the players, actually see. . . welp.
Just not sure I'll bother with any next gen consoles, until the NEXT next gen, or they get real real cheap.
