I suppose you're correct, but the spam is so blatant and so oppressively
obvious about it, it's hard to fathom how people would ever follow it.
1) It's in Korean on an American site that has all-English speakers.
2) It is literally nothing but repetitive copy/paste sets of words with the website in it
3) It boiled down to "gamble here!" a lot in several different ways
It's... seriously hard to imagine people falling for that.
You are correct that an attempt to scam people out of their finances (or, worse, their identity) is extremely serious and can cause great harm, psychologically, if nothing else.
My problem wasn't that. I would never - and I can't imagine anyone from those boards would ever - go there or test them out.
My problem was that I was slightly inconvenienced by bad spamming.
Hence an (attempted) comical
overreaction to
my problem. (Which, as it turns out, they weren't the source of
anyway.)
But yeah, doing bad things to people's very, very bad.
