Truth is, I've been in debate of what type of character Ty should be ever since I got started on the plot. I've had many different personality ideas, and I thought the one above was the best. I thought about getting rid of him altogether.
But I don't really have any idea of what Ty should be replaced by. A girl character perhaps? I've got quite a few planned, but probably not enough. (The pirates mentioned above have a woman as their captain.)

God: Yep, the magic fingers. (Accidentally sends a lightning bolt that hits the woman, who explodes and sets the bar on fire)
